What's happening in the North? Not much. During the last two and half months we have made some gains. Our divisions are in good shape. Our goal is to tie their forces and inflict attrition losses.

I don't know what happened. I'm not using AI air assist. I used my level bombers very little during summer and fall 1941. I was saving supply for front line ground units. I kept my fighter units in good shape. I did try to minimize operational losses. I think Soviet fighters got very little target practice.

Soviets took huge air losses in December. In 1942 air combat losses are very one sided. Every time they show up, they are shot to pieces. My pilots gain experience and their novice pilots are killed.

We have a problem in this area. Our advance is way too slow. It is easy to break the enemy line and pocket some divisions. But new enemy divisions arrive as fast as we can destroy. The computer teleports new formations from the North. We can't reach the Caspian Sea at this rate. I have to push harder in the north make them suffer there. Maybe it will ease the situation here.

Turn 58

The enemy line was weak neat Tula. 2nd PzA breach the line and advanced to the enemy rear destroying several airfields. Our goal is not to capture Moscow or Ryazan. The objective is to tie as much enemy forces as possible to help the situation in the Caucasus. The enemy has to withdraw the strong position neat Tula or it will be surrounded.
