I just compared the C-7 and the 7F for weight and dimensions in the DB, I had no clue how much lighter the C-7 is compared to the Sparrow-7F, I am fucking surprised... To compare some data here's an image, Left is 120-C-7.

Thats pretty much the same for all AIM-120s AFAIK. This is the reason the Vipers can carry them on the wing tips.
Electronics get lighter, composites are more widespread and motors are more efficient, the only constant is the need for a big enough warhead to do the damage when the prox fuze triggers.

I have trouble to shoot down SS-N-19 Shiprwerck with Sparrow (or Sidewinder).
The Shiprwereck is at 60ft with 1051kts. I'm about 8nm behind it at 2000ft. I fire a AIM-7M Sparrow III. This climps to about 12000ft and just over 1000kts bevor the motor stops and it glides and loose speed. So with the new Model it seems impossible to shutdown this missile from behind. Do i have to shut down from the front? So this means we need to use new way to shutdown missiles.....

Or do i have to fly at 12000ft to have a change to shut down missiles?
Any Tips?

Ok i made some tests in the editor. From behind it is impossible to shut down any Shiprwrecks with Sidewinder or Sparrow. I have tried 0.2nm-2nm behind and 300ft to 12000ft high. No Change to shutdown.
So never try to attack missiles from behind with this new Version :D
