Eventhough the reachable hex indicate "spent' - the unit itself still can be moved.

Still this condition never been happened in the previous patch.

I'm not clear about the situation you are describing. In the save you posted, can you give me a unit and hex to try to move to that shows the problem you are speaking of?
In short, my case is not Freeze, but the reachable hex feature -when you click on unit- is not working (frequently in ver 1.04).
When this happen, the unit looks like it had been freeze - because the reachable hex doesnt light on/working, but actually the unit itself movable.

So the "show movement path" is not working to highlight the hexes you can move to? Have you checked the game preference screen to make sure that preference is still turned on? When it stops working, does stay not working from turn to turn? If you save the game and exit the program and then start the program and load the save, does it still not work?

The "show movement path" is always on , it works fine for couple first turn (2-3 turn) from loading save game, and then it's not working. Its stay not working from turn to turn.
The only way to make it turn is by exiting the game, start the game and load it - 2-3 turn ahead it''s repeating / not functioning again.

I am continuoing the save game that i've attached in this thread - (now in March 1942).
The mod that i am using is pretty graphic mod (tree mod) - this should not been issue since i've never experiencing this in the previous earlier patch.

Since this will likely be the final patch...

Is there any chance in either directly handing the source code off to a motivated person or team, or licensing it?

Actually, Matrix/2by3 has allowed third parties programmers access to the source like EDBTR to improve it while Matrix retains IP rights. But EDBTR and WITP-AE are ancient compared to this title.

WitE1 was basically outsourced to an external programmer (retaining me as data guy) while the core dev team worked on WitW. He's not available anymore for this exhaustive work though.

Yes, it is broken.

The size is also much smaller than the previous.

Currently playing GC41 as Axis vs AI with ‘reduced attrition’, ‘reduced CD delay’ and +5 morale boost to Germans. Just finished 3 turns. The game feels more or less the same, less routing but feels slightly more mobile. Overall ebb and flow is basically the same. I have not noticed any issues.

One problem with a game of this complexity and size is that from a software point of view, regression testing is a B.

We, Panther Games, used to run nightly auto-testing (AI vs AI) using one of the Beta's office computers as he was LAN Admin. As they say, you can never have too much compute.

yes, I have the same problem. (final version 01.04.01)
the movement path is not displayed, so the units look as if they are frozen.
after saving - quitting the game - restarting the game it works again for a few rounds.

If others are having this problem, please post to less us know, so we can see how widespread the issue is. Hard to diagnose the items that come up after extended play and are "fixed" when you load a save.
