I've recently lost a unit like this. Does this unit reform eventually, or it is wiped from the OOB forever?

Yes, a comfort unit, if involuntarily disbanded, will spontaneously "respawn" in the same hex the following turn with essentially the same TOE as the disabled unit. Supply will be expended in the hex as necessary to replenish required hosiery, lingerie, perfume, cosmetics, and liquor.[;)]

I'm sure a few guys in the forums have been to Korea, PI, and a few other places?
Po City was an adult's disneyland. The LBFMs usually were daughters of other LBFMs. They don't even consider it prostitution...it would take half a page to explain how they view it. It's been going on so long that it's just another job.

And Whisper Alley in Okinawa City...that was a trip...[:D]
There are only two kinds of people that understand Marines: Marines and the enemy. Everyone else has a second-hand opinion.

Here's a question. Will that b-17 group come back? or is it destroyed permanetnly?

-F-

Yes it comes back

15.2 AIR UNITS

Allied air units that are sunk while on a ship and that are not part of that ship’s normal air
group complement will return to the game as a reinforcement after 120 days.

US military policy regarding soldiers' sexual activities has pretty much always been "Our pure, good boys don't need to be debased by all that moral corrupting <shudder> 'sex' stuff."

During WWII the Army would actually send MPs in to towns and cities near training facilities in the US to permanently shut down brothels.

Hey dtravel, welcome back! Been a while!

Curiously, the forum software says you haven't posted since March!!

Anyway - in reply to your comment: the WW2 policy was MUCH more enlightened than the WW1 approach - which was to just lecture the men into not having sex - at first. After they had thousands (or tens of thousands, iirc) of troops showed up with syphyllis (which was pretty much the AIDS of its day - no real cure, and could kill you hideously after years of illness), they decided maybe they should issue condoms. Interesting recapitulation of the AIDs epidemic now (trying to lecture teenagers not to have sex doesn't seem to work much better now than in 1918).

Damn!![8D] Give that man a DFC and some time off. [:D]

I have to say the combat replay was quite inspirational, even though Feinder got the better of this engagement. (Numbers are vague recollections) Something like forty planes take off from Noumea, and are met by around 70-80 A6M2s with crack pilots. The allied planes fall like flies, except for this one lone SBD that makes it through the CAP. I'm thinking to myself "Whew, dodged a bullet. Surely the AA can take care of one plane". The guy flies through the puffs of AA and drops a present on a CVL flight deck. I told Feinder he should give the guy the congressional metal of honor.
