Star Trek: Birth of the Federation (Go ahead, laugh....you know that you're as nerdy as I am) [:'(]

I like a good 4X game and played that title a lot. I gave it up though when I started Space Empires IV Gold. Have you tried that one? I particularly enjoy the Star Trek mod.

X-com not nearly well enough represented! How do you get it to run on a modern OS? And wouldn't it be awesome if they redid the graphics and AI and added a bunch of techs without screwing it up like all the sequels or aftermath? A boy can dream...

Oh, but they did. The original programmers of X-COM released another game about 2 years ago; they would have called it XCOM 3, but the name is a brand from Microprose, but they had to call it something else. Completely forgot what the title is; for some reason it didn't have much success.

Do not confuse it with X-COM Apocalypse and X-COM Interceptor, two very bad titles.

Starwar Supremacy/Rebellion. Love this game!

WHOAA Bobthehatchit, If there actually WAS something like RSI, starwars rebellion would have given it to me [8D]. Spend MANY hours playing this game, I actually bought it again via Ebay 2 years ago, just to play it some more. But alas, the AI was (also) crap. By using an overkill of sabotage missions (took me 3 YEARS to figure out that by holding the Cntrl key down you could assing MORE than one team menber to a team ) the game was won "quickly"

Get Dosbox, works a charm. Have just finished X-com again, classic game.

There is an open-software group trying to build a game along the same lines:

1 game I wish I had kept was Age of Rifes. I still see new scenarios popping up for it.
