KB arrives in Singers for repairs. All plane losses are made good as are pilot losses due to careful husbanding of IJN pilots.
Time to rescue my strategic reserve, 21st Div from Hanoi. Do I use them in Ceylon or Timor? I have a few game days to think while new CV's come up to Singers. Then I shall have 2 carrier divisions to play with!
Meantime the USN cowers out the way...

2 x Divs off to Ceylon with various hangers -on. Supported by 6 x CVs, 4 x BBs. Will probably land at Trincomalee and see what's in Columbo. With most of the RN surface fleet at or leaving Koepang I'm hoping his carriers come out to play but I think Rob's brighter than that.

Trincomalee has fallen. I have 2 x Divisions ashore with tanks and engineers. Another div plus tanks on the way. Also 1 x ftr Sentai and 1 x dive bomber squadron en route in Ak's. India isn't really on the menu unless I get really carried away but I think a carrier raid up to Karachi might be on the cards.
Meantime China grinds on. With both Sian and Chungking shut down his supply situation must be geeting tight. PM and Gili-Gili are bomb-proof right now.

AS I'll have 3 divisions down there why not attack southern India and take Bombay and Madras? I'll pull the bulk of the troops out after, I don't want to sacrifice them there though. Also KB will start raids on airfields with 4E bombers on them.

A third division and more engineers land at Trincomalee en route to Columbo, also 2 much needed tanker convoys arive in the next 3 days.
The Chinese launch a deliberate attack at Chungking and tane nearly 6,000 casualties. Wonder if they'll try that again?

Quiet few turns, refueling TFs in Trincomalee. 3 divs now ashore there. I've shot down Dakotas flying into/out of Columbo and wonder if they're bringing stuff in or taking cadres out for rebuilding (I know Rob likes to do that).
Solomons and Gilberts quiet too but I see mucho recon of Tarawa and suspect he might be eyeing it up.

a. I'm lazy and
b. I've been testing WPO
Anyway Tarawa has fallen and I've given up trying to capture Ceylon (too little too late). Good news: China is wrecked and the Guards Division look like they'll be able to limp back to Mandalay and be rebuilt.
So:
India/Burma
KB about to be re-constituted to escort transports back to Ceylon to rescue ground troops. The heavies have gone to China so now all we face are some Beauforts and Blenheims. Hope it works!
Burma will hunker down and dig-in.
China
I have adopted a policy of bombing resources, oil (Bomber Harris - eat your heart out) and airfields forcing him to spend supplies on repairs rather than combat. Chunking is beseiged and not producing anything. Sian is wrecked. Allied heavies here have received a mauling and yesterday, for the 1st time, saw B-17s aborting their missions.
Marshalls/Carolinas
Tarawa fell and he now bombing the crap out of Kwajalein. Eniwetok being built up as a back-stop. Still loads of supply in Kwajalein

Two are out with massive dammage (bloody things should have sunk...) two are RN so that leaves 4 (?) USN carrier against my 7.

Americal division has landed at PM and been given a very warm welcome by the coastal batteries and mines. They have been badly disrupted on the way in and we have a level 7 fort there. Also there as an unwelcome surprise are 2 brigades of the 4th Division - the 3rd Brigade is at Gilli-gilli. Will try a counter-attack before he re-inforces and see if we can push him back into the sea.

Allies land at Macassar instead of calamari and walk right into the 65th Brigade who are loaded for bear. If he'd landed at Calamari he'd have found only Andy-Pandy and the Brigade of Rabbits defending it. Oh well...
