All the ports fall, excluding maccassar. I hold 1 hex off with the main invasion, hoping to cull any airstrikes, or naval strikes

I order the invasion of timor, troops at davao are ordered to load, 21 div at davao is ordered to Port moresby.
Darwin will have to wait- it remains a target, but the phillipines will have to fall 1st

So much shipping down near PM, and so few resisting troops, I would be crazy not to take the opportunity

We are now fighting in the hex 2 north of singapore
he keeps raiding kuantan, today new zeros moved in and gave him a shock
This campain is going well, airforce is in good shape, the army is in great shape

Borneo
The majority of forces are at kuching, 3 mixed brigades
Oil is flowing from brunie, and the nates seem to be keeping the flies away

Celebes
Just cleaning up here already, starting to reload some of the smaller units for further island capturing down south
The ships for timor are loading. have enough fuel (just) for this operation
Macassar is still his (I got a report wrong) but not for long

The solomons
Going very well, will take rabual tomorrow or the next day
KB continues to deny a huge area to tabpub, so lots of supplies are sailing about to the liberated areas

The phillipines
are a disaster. Off naga a deadly ASW war is developing, he knows my supplies have to come in here, so do I . 3 ASW groups, 18 ships are operating in the area, I sunk another sub, he gets one of the ships
talking of subs the cheeky sod has one in the sea of japan!

My subs are coming home, beggining to rotate them, quite a few have lost there glenns, they are the important assets.
My subs are doing the recon thing well.

Overall the war is balanced, Im facing a major problem with wrecked divisiuons in the phillipines
Can I take the DEI with just 3 divisions and 3 brigades?
Only with max concentration of air and naval power

everything is being dominated by the fiasco at Manilla

BURMA
Rangoon is mine, and Im marching troops towards the place
to give support. No resources or oil in the place, as expected.
Im not going to be able to do much with 2 divisions and 2 regiments, so its defensive for a while.

MALAYA
The army is now in the hex north of Singapore.
Soon we will attack the place. 3 divisions 1 tank regiment.
He still battles in the air, soon I will have to send the full weight of the air force against him.

Borneo
I hold the north coast, he the south. raids cross occasionally, JOLO is threatening, and full of units, hope he thinks they are assualt units

CELEBES
Are totally mine, Kendari has a lot of planes

TIMOR
A new operation is in progress
Kaga and Akagi ,zuiho are covering 3 invasion convoys , little shohs took a 500 lb from a B17 raid. the CAP culled a lot of B17s, but darwin worries me.
2 BB are headed that way to bombard
Plenty of fuel, and 5 seperate surface task forces are in the area
Also 21 division is amongst this lot, enroute via the timor straight to Port moresby, that appears to have just 2 units in it

picking up bases on the north coast, lea, Gilli, gilli buna are mine

If PM falls easily darwin is next using these 2 divisions, and all the naval forces

Are lightly held, supplies going well

Canton island is crawling with ships and men and planes
Already believe this will be KBs long term target

Phillipines
A mess
4 shattered divisions, ruined. Plenty of supplies now, but they have to rebuild. So Im retiring them to legaspi. Its mid january, febuary 15 and they will try again
To the north the division outside clarke is OK, but will have to wait
The airforce will just bomb and bomb and bomb the ports, destroying his supply
Effectively I have ruined half the army, can I conquer the DEI with what is left?

THE DEI
With the forces available I can do only 1 plan
Land 3 divisions at the port nearest to singapore, and under an umbrella of every zero and naval bomber I can muster march south to palembeang ect

If I hold Timor I may cut of his reinforcements

Eventually the phillipines must fall, hopefully now by April, long term I may try for Akyab, but essentially the land grab might be finished.
Essentially all, and I mean all depends on how quick 4 divisions recover their disruption (some at 50%)
KB must recombine soon. If all goes well some time in mid febuary, early March I intend to cruise to Suva area, and seek the enemy CVs, that or smash Canton island into dust.

In the phillipines I record very carefully the disruption of the divisions, extra base and support troops enroute. lets see how long it takes the disruption to fall

Have began to transfer every zero sq not on a CV towards malaya, in anticipation of invading the DEI
some how I feel that tarakan and balikapapn will be the last places captured this game.

In china a enemy unit appears on the railway south of Naga, so the buggar is up to something too!

Attu island way up north is occupied by a base force, just need some sort of outer warning base

No sign of activity from the enemy, except pago pago now has ships, and canton base is very heavily manned.

Convoys so far are working OK, a pain, but worth it.

Nates intercepted some blenhiems today near Rangoon.
Moved 2 sq of lillies and 2 of zeros into rangoon today from malaya, as there is no air resistance down there, the zeros can do some damage here for a while
offensives are cancelled until the phillipine disaster is fixed

over 150 bombers hit singapore port that turn, AA was nasty, but no air resistance. Troops about half way there, and in good shape. Aiming to take the place by febuary

Today marks another operation, TIMOR, as the invasion units sail
Again I will try for simultaneous landings at multiple points

Tabpub smells a trap in the phillipines as I withdraw closer to supply bases.
This could get messy.
Today all the troops entered Singapore, and the Nells hit the place. No air resistance

Little Hosho fuels and heads way down south, to lurk east of brisbane, maybe she can catch a troop ship.

In Burma I rest the airforce for 1 more day, it will go again tomorrow then hopefully begin moving to Singapore.

Singapore fell today. It will take about a week to get all the base forces down to it, another to get organised. Next stop Sumutra

Borneo
Began loading the 3 regiments at Kuching for operations in northern Sumatra. Oil is being loaded Nells operating from Kuching struk a tanker at palembang today, no CAP

Jolo
Here I am gathering the para troops and transports, for operations against south Borneo

Davao
Is still the gathering place for lots of base troops for occupation duties

North phillipines
Tabpub has a tank regiment and 1 other unit racing to tugero, obviously with my troops at lingayen gulf, he is thinking a quick grab of aparri might catch me out, kill my airforce on the ground
Several NLFs stand in his way, a division that was retiring to nala will drop at aparri , just in case
At Naga 21 div - which is repairing nicely now - smashed the regiment snooping down
2 divisions are repairing, going to repair at Nala to the north, lots of supplies, support and no malaria
He can run all over the place as far as I care, he can do no harm, only a successful plan orange can change the strategic situation.
The secret is :DONT PANIC!

Solomons
This area will require a lot, and I mean a lot of effort to consolidate. Rabual, PM shortlands, lea and lunga all require construction troops base forces. The worst thing is it will take weeks to get the dribs and drabs re united with parent units
Currently 27 zeros, 70 plus betties are at rabual
Port moresby has the south sea detachment, several DDs are running supplies to thursday island

Timor
It was a hard battle, all units are at 50 % disruption, I will look carefully at trying to get reliefs
In japan lots of small units building, they may have to be them - I don't need them for a solomons offensive!!!

Kendari is going to be the base for our next op, 6 tankers are 3 days out with more fuel, with 1 AO torpedoed this week, and others sucked dry, this is the issue

In 2 days I will have the entire KB refuelled and ready 8 hexes east of darwin , with 4 BBs, and 2 divisions .
At kendari 2 BBs, a very large CA TF, and several smaller ones gather
At wyndam a SNLF is strugglinf ashore on the hex beside the base, martins from derby hit it yesterday. She is pure diversion, recon.
darwin appears to have the bulk of Australias airforce, but no fighters
Why take darwin?
Tabpub is faced with iether restrict Port Moresby - B17 it to death, or hit darwin.
At this stage he cant do both

In addition 56 regiment is at sea, and several units from Ambonia will join this week north of timor

The situation in the north phillipines is terrible!!!!

2 enemy tank regiments blew away 2 NLF at tugero last night, and rolled straight on into Aparri
Although now totally cut off from Manilla, they could cause a major, catastrophic defeat today
Personally think Tab pubs liitle attack the best move I have ever seen anywhere on these forums
All my forces are at Lingayen gulf, he just went around them, steamrolled my little road blocks at tugero
I hurridly moved all my air out last night, the base forces ect there have an assualt value of 64, is it enough
The division slated for aparri is 2 hexes out, it should unload tomorrow too
This is terrible news. 30000[X(][X(][X(][X(][X(] supplies at aparri.
I cant afford to lose them
This will be the most important dice roll ever for me

some martins from Palembang are active, but inaccurate

I still reckon THERE IS NOTHING WRONG with the ASW model, keep shipss to a max of 6, and things are fine

tabpub is not happy about his 2 tank regiments - but taunts me about my 106 div south of nanning in china - its all but destroyed today

36 B17 tried the daily attack on kuching, and met a lot of zeros
