Steven continues to take one empty beach after another - and I do not have to troops to do anything against it.

This time one of my PT squadrons was surprised by a strong combat TF - my recce showed only medium combat units and around 20 transports at Kendari.% PTs sunk, and probably no damage done.

The Australian Home Guard is now on alert - 2 CVs have been sighted. They sunk 2 MSWs near Darwin. Australian Wirraways tried to force them away from the ships, but only under heavy losses!!
The convoys on the northern coast are now on high alert - it is supposed that this mini KB ( at leat I hope it is mini) is on a transport hunting mission.
If Steven goes westwards he will find several transport TFs with nearly no prtection.
If he goes eastwards he will come under attack by several air units, but if he comes close to PM I will have to move my transport TFs [:(] on this part of the Australian coast.

This does not look good - a pirate force on the Aussie northern coast. Several huge convoys ( from my recce I guess 4 convoys with 60+ ships ) closing to Singapore - my guess is that this is the invsion force for Sumatra or for Java. Not much to stop him here - but maybe a few surprises with my air units.

One Brit CV is now in Ceylon, the second one will come to Karachi in 3 days.

Luckily the Japanese pirate force did only attack a PG and a MSW and not the four AKs in the harbour !!

Steven is starting to miss the next Division - I think this game will come to a very soon end: either he has no troops left because the are beamed away, or we will have to restart because he does not wantt to play with so many lost units.
The interesting fact is that in the game with Irishman there are no such lost units so far !! ( maybe Kevin was warned soon enough and did not give any follow orders !! )

I once again post my replay turn and not Stevens - mainly because I think that there should be some kind of fog - I usually only check his combat report when there really cross diferences between my combat report and what I find in the real turn ( lost ships I did not see sunk, captured bases that are not captured......)

The awaited invasion started this turn, KB is fully involved in it ( I think).
The waters in the Java sea turned red by my lost DDs ( 4 sunk this turn [:(] ), but my two surface TFs will move south to provoke an classical sea battle in the hex of one of the newer invaded bases ( there are two in 2 days range ) - I hope that KB does not move to fast to the south and that the mini KB does not get into the range. After the attacks one of the TFs will go to Australia ( with all the then probably damaged and slower ships ) one will stay back at Java.

In Alaska my minelaying missions started - all islands up ther will get a few of them [:)]

Three Japanese subs were reported this turn between PH and SF - three 4 ship ASW groups will investigate !!

One heavy bomber group is now positioned at Midway as well as a fighter and a PBY unit. At Wake there are now 20k troops and 2 fighter and one DB unit. But as long he is fooling around in the Dutch waters my boys will fortify their positions here.

Two nice night time combats - the ABDA forces did quite well. I hoped that they go for the transport TFs in the same hex, but well...

During daylight it was another story. KB and miniKB had a target practice day[:(].
Steven did not send his CT, but what I have seen also some other ships were hit - like Hermes, which I had to scuttle with 99/87/78 damage !!!

Steven slaughtered a convoy this turn - allmost all ships sunk or damaged [:(]
I think the time of moving all the oil& resources in great quantities to Australia are over - on the other hand I was able to move around 500 full shiploads of oil and resources there, this will help until I am able to move a monthly supply in from the US.

This turn Pago Pago and Fiji got supplied and strengthend with 15k supply and a few troops each - more will follow soon.

bad turn for my Allied ABDA forces.
First the heavy TF around the Revenge did not follow their orders and went hunting instead of retreating into the open sea. This worked without losses, but now the low speed worked against this group and so they got slaughtered during daylight by landbased bombers and several attacks from the KB !!
KB ( and also miniKB) was also heavily involved in reducing my merchant vessels in and around the Java sea. Only good thing were several unescorted Kate raids ( Steven lost around 20 of them ) and so one of my Dutch pilots is an ace with 7 kills.

Second landing on Timor - soon all of it will be in enemy hands !!

In Alaska I still build up my forces, at the moment they build up the existing bases, but with 02/42 they will start two more bases. In 03/42 my forces will start expand further and they will make the first attack against an Japanese held island and if Steven is too weak, I will go on until he can stop me cold.
At the moment there are three old BBs, 4 PG/Cs, 6 minesweepers, 6 DDs and a few AVD,AR and AS as well as some subs in Northern command. For the attacks it is planned to use up to 8 BBs, 10+ cruisers and at least 2 CVs. BBs should not be a problem. CVs could be more, but I need some in the South Pacific!! ( at the moment 1 CV is between PagoPago and Noumea, one is patrolling between Wake and Midway, and one is resting at PH ).

Any comments and ideas on an Northern attack plan ( like how many forces of which kind, how many air units..... ) ??

I rest and repair a lot of ships at the moment ( 1 CV is at 5 damage, I will repair her and later send her back to patrol duties around Wake.
