Crown of Glory: Europe in the Age of Napoleon, the player controls one of the crowned potentates of Europe in the Napoleonic Era, wielding authority over his nation's military strategy, economic development, diplomatic relations, and social organization. It is a very thorough simulation of the entire Napoleonic Era - spanning from 1799 to 1820, from the dockyards in Lisbon to the frozen wastes of Holy Mother Russia.

Nowadays, we are less likely to put the job of raising cultural standards first as the waste gauge is our most pressing concern.

My trouble Sarge is that once I hit the "bad boy" spot I lose interest because it just becomes an interminable string of detailed battles to ensure I don't go under. I hate surrendering but sometimes I do it to shed glory.

I want to whine to the developers that upgrading culture(so you can get military upgrades) gives way too many glory points. I did a test with Austria in 1796.

France surrendered to Britain causing all the Frenchboys to come and kick my butt outta France (I was just doing QB's). Then they came to Vienna and I offered limited surrender which they accepted.

Anyway, even though I surrendered, I was running a very close second just because I was building culture and barracks.

I was hoping to make culture give enough glory so that players could try to rack up enough points to win without having to conquer anybody. Do you remember approximately how many glory/turn you were getting from culture?
