String, nice AAR. I really like your style, especially the photos. Very nice touch.

Our resident spy at Pescadores reported that DD Kuri had hit a mine and sunk early this morning. The mine was probably one laid by our submarines two weeks ago. No other news

Little to report. Some ASW action but no hits on either side. The jap has gone inactive after he got his nose bloodied

Nice AAR!
Historical pictures are a great addition, they add immersion to campaign notes!

It could be nice if you once every week (game time) share with us your plans!

Ugh.. i just spent over an hour putting together that last AAR report
Yep, your bad habits are coming back, for our pleasure :)
Does it mean you may go on with your WitP AAR, or is this WPO one a single exception?

don't think so. WPO is my passion right now, and witp seems sooooo booring [:'(]

Grrrrrrrrr <sulks> [:D][:D][:D]

Pkunzipper. I really don't have any concrete plans. I'm on the defence, having more points than the japs and all, and i don't have enough land units to take to an offensive. I'm still waiting for the japs to land somewhere.

No action.

Our Hong Kong garrison did a small parade today, to the cheer of the british population there. Morale is high.

Seems like the jap, like the hun in previous war, has taken a liking to his submarines, called sensuikan in japan. Instead of engaging our battleline ship to ship, gun to gun, man to man, the instead rely on sneak attacks to try and wither our strength. As a result the battlecruiser HMS New Zealand was torpedoed just as she was beginning to arrive at Hong Kong.

This will not stand! We will teach that Jap a final lesson. Tonight sixteen battleships and nine battlecruisers, the very best of the Royal Navy, have left to intercept the shipping at Pescadores, which was reported by CV Argus today. We WILL sink them, wether they want to fight or not!

War report 03/20/24

Today was a glorious day for the British Empire. The bulk of our Southeast Asia fleet engaged and sank or damaged what was thought to be the majority of Japanese surface ships.

The whole course of the battle is too lengthy to describe here, but mostly it went our way, with the sole exception of one of our battlesquadrons being ambushed at close range by the best of japanese ships. Of the five battleships of that squadron three were heavily damaged, one sunk and one had to be scuttled.

Still, we gave the jap a sound kicking with the sinking of 5 Battleships, 2 Heavy, 1 Light cruisers, 13 Destroyers, 4 Minesweepers, 11 various transport ships and 5 tankers. In addition 3 Battleships and 1 Battlecruiser were damaged.

We lost 2 Battleships (1 to enemy action 1 to scuttling) and 16 destroyers.
6 Battleships and 3 Battlecruisers were damaged to a varying degree and 6 destroyers are out of combat for now.

We still have 8 Battleships and 6 Battlecruisers operational in the immediate area with 8 battleships and 3 heavy cruisers operational in the rear.

War report for the past few days

Our ships have rearmed and are currently hunting down fleeing cripples from Pescadores. They seem to be heading towards Philippines. Half a dozen merchantmen have been sunk so far. BB Settsu has also foundered and sunk.
