I got to say this - COTA has one of the best AIs I have seen

Prepare yourself for a wargaming tour-de-force! Conquest of the Aegean is the next generation of the award-winning and revolutionary Airborne Assault series and it takes brigade to corps-level warfare to a whole new level. Realism and accuracy are the watchwords as this pausable continuous time design allows you to command at any echelon, with smart AI subordinates and an incredibly challenging AI.

I love to pop bubblewrap. ;) And I would debate that Guardian Journalist about his thoughts. Who's he to determine if online debates have value or not?? He must have lost quite a few and was just "ranting" like is common when someone is upset with something. ;)
WE/I WANT 1:1 or something even 1:2 death animations in the KOIOS PANZER COMMAND SERIES don't forget Erik! ;) and Floating Paratroopers We grew up with Minor, Marginal and Decisive victories why rock the boat with Marginal, Decisive and Legendary?

The real problem with your argument that "you might learn something new" is that it generally takes hours of dissection to get to the "something new".

Well, as you know, I'm just interested in acquiring debating skills so I can win an argument with my wife once in a while - so I tend to focus on the flamewars [;)]

Meanwhile proper family life and good game playing, eating and sleeping get thrown out of the window.

Agreed on the sleeping part [>:]

How could you argue with that sweet gentle woman; you brute? Anyway you know they are always right! It goes with the gender.
As for sleeping, I thought you told me you slept at work? You did, you said you had an alarm that went off at 10 to the hour so you could flame on newsgroups for ten minutes before the slumber begins again! Have I got that wrong as well?

In other words : try as I might, I'll never acquire the skills to win an argument I shouldn't be having in the first place. Hmmm - there's some wisdom in that madness - or vice versa

Almost correct : I'm *slepping* myself through the workday - it's only on those very precious 10 minutes that I feel alive, mostly because I get to annoy other people with my inane ramblings. [;)]

For those who don't know what he's talking about ... most of us, most of the time, here's what the Guardian (again!) thinks of SLEPPING.

I believe I had started this thread to highlight why after five years I am convinced that the AI that powers the AA engine is in a class by itself.

I am deeply dissappointed at where this thread has gone. Wouldn't it have just be easier to start a new thread with a title like:

OT: I want to rant, debate, troll, and digitally experience my existence?

All of you have sullied my thread on the AI and I shan't forgive you for that. :)

Mark,

Go east mate. It's all that free time waiting on the next release candidate. They're basically underemployed and an idle mind... [;)]

........get a sense of what it means to command.......
And if you are not a grog and only a guy or gal who likes computer games, then it will be an intellectual challenge worthy of the investment of your time.

These are some of the best remarks describing the possibilities and the AI which can be found in this engine.

I know that you should never quote yourself, but this quote is the right tool to get this thread back on track. [:D][;)]
