The dreaded I-25 was finally sunk She had sunk 3 ships and damaged 2 others so I am glad to see that she was finally sent to the bottom.

More MSWs have been sent to Rabaul. As soon as the minefield is claer I have close to 7K AV and 400 transports ready to invade.

Rabaul invasion fleet has set sail and should arrive next turn. I hope the endless minefiled is cleared by then. I have a timetable to stick to so I can't wait forever.

First results of the Allied sub dictrine expiring were felt today. I will need to start some sort of sub offensive soon.

Repelled a probing attack at Iman. I don't know how well it will face against a full scale assault.

Wewak was cleared so the next hop in NG will also take place next turn

I will sorte the subs soon.

This turn turned from victory to disater very quickly. For the last 2 turns I reconned Tavoy and spotted 100 AC (50 Ftr and 50 Aux) there but no fighters on CAP. I launched a raid supported by P-38s and only destroyed a few planes on the ground despite the lack of CAP. Since I was launching strikes anyway I sent my Liberator IVs and Wellingtons against Rangoon, which I thought only had a few tansports suppling Andaman Island. These ran into a wall of fighters and got shredded. Total losses for the trun were 134 for me and only 54 for Gordon. Had I sent the raid escorted by P38s against Rangoon it would have been a great day. He has pulled all his planes out now.

Rabaul landing went well although a few ships hit mines.

Next turn is a big roll of the dice. 200 bombers will be flying against Ulithi. 300 AC have been spotted but no fighters. Hopefully I will get some revenge.

I have also ordered an ait drop of 3 Marine Para units against Biak. around 500 bombers on ground attack will soften up the base. There are 2 base forces there but the real reason for the raid is the 40 float planes, which I am guessing at Emilys. Knocking these out will put a damper on long rance searches. I have been planning this for 2 turns but the weather has not cooperated. I am launching the raid despite the thunderstorms beacuse I am afraif Gordon may pull the planes out soon.

Much better day. Biak was captured and the seaplanes destroyed. They were not all Emilys as I had though (only 7) but I also destroyed 27 Alfs.

Raid on Ulithi was a complete success with 157 Bettys destroyed on the ground.

Rabaul minefield has been cleared. The first attack will be next turn.

Also hit a convoy off of Tarakan so over all a good day.

DEI. Thanks to Menado being open I was able to transfer 96 B-24s from India to the DEI. These will be a great help in keeping the PI area air fields shut down prior to invasion. I figure I need 2 months to clear out Rabaul and get Hellcats on my CVs and I will be ready to go for Minindao

Don't tell Gordon but I have 5 Brit CVs, 1 Essex CV, and 14 CVL/CVEs. In another 30 days I will have another Essex and 2 CVL/CVEs all with Hellcats. It is good to have the arsenal of democracy behind you. [:D]
