Detailed combat reporting

Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: The German-Soviet War 1941-1945 is a turn-based World War II strategy game stretching across the entire Eastern Front. Gamers can engage in an epic campaign, including division-sized battles with realistic and historical terrain, weather, orders of battle, logistics and combat results.

The critically and fan-acclaimed Eastern Front mega-game Gary Grigsby’s War in the East just got bigger and better with Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: Don to the Danube! This expansion to the award-winning War in the East comes with a wide array of later war scenarios ranging from short but intense 6 turn bouts like the Battle for Kharkov (1942) to immense 37-turn engagements taking place across multiple nations like Drama on the Danube (Summer 1944 – Spring 1945).

I have ever mentioned that I HATE mud

may of 43, I lost 9 divs to lack of supply, my supply line got way over extended (my fault, but I was trying to test the auto Victory settings, so didn't want to wait out the weather, when I had a chance to test it)

ahhhhhhhhhh

I really, really hate MUD

also, them 9,000-11,000 air craft are starting to be a royal pain in the butt

going to grind every one of them under my treads when I get the chance !!!!!

(300 Yak FB's with 280 IL-2s is not a pretty sight, when you only got 15 109s in the air)

even worse, I can't count, make that 10 Div's I lost so far

to the good, my Armor is getting a nice little stock pile of fuel built up (those that are not trying to pull back)

massive efforts to get my rail lines closer to the front

too dangerous to use my Ju 52s, too many Russian fighters and not enough 109s, or range

my rail line is going to still be about 100 miles short of where I need it, after gaining a good 100 miles the last couple of weeks, so got to chance the airdrop, the Russians are getting close to that city

(oops, make 60 miles short and I have gained 50, wrong hex size :)

my fighters clear the skies, and 500 tons of supplies are dropped

the 2nd flight, is smaller, but I get some fuel to my armor

but, I got ammo, fuel and supply, they should be able to hold until the sun comes out, if the Russians don't get too fisky

and we have talked about the Commanders Doc, and how sweet it is

another way to use it, open it up, go to the units, click on none at the bottom (we don't want to see all of them) click on Const, and it brings up the eng's

click on the top to men (I know my RR repair guys have a lot of men)

and it sorts, and there are the ones I want

I can look at them, and see how far they have moved, or what not

I see one that hasn't moved yet this turn, I can then click on the hex number, and it takes me right to the unit

then I move it, and go back to the report for the next one I want

when I needed my fighters (I got lazy, and wasn't moving them forward during the mass retreat), go to the air part, again click on none, then click on fighters, then click on Nation, and go to GE, it lists all of my GE fighters, and info on them, I can then see, which ones havn't flown, moved, again, click on the hex numbers and it takes me right to the airfield they are based on

the Commanders Doc has so much added into it, it is unreal, and Pav keeps improving it, over and over

this really makes a "monster" game that could/should overwelm a lot of people, easy

again more of a just in case, this is how to set up a supply drop mission

in my case, this is all or nothing, so everything that can fly is going (you can pick and chose what to send, also at the bottom, you can tell it to send fuel or supply)
