Overall
Not good. The USSR attack all along the line, and we have to pull back from the sector around Kaunas as the enemy threathens to form a large pocket here. The surrounded USSR troops were relieved once more, so this time we break their link back to their comrades, and then rout them.
31 USSR attacks resulted in 4 helds, 25 retreats, 1 rout and 1 surrender. Our 3 attacks resulted in 1 retreat and 2 routs. More importantky, we once more managed to reform a line. But it is clear that we will soon have to fall back. The next prepared line is in Germany, but we will make use of the mountains in Hungary/Rumania as well. Will stay here for as long as it is relatively safe, but once our army is threathened, we will have to pull back.
Oh, and all the Italians are gone now as well...There goes my diggers.

Terje, just as a side note, I noticed that in the south there are Hungarian units fighting. I don't believe those units will retreat into Romania. If you don't move them north and clear the Romanian border they might be lost.

Overall
The USSR keeps pushing, and we keep moving weak units back to the places they retreated from to keep the USSR attacking the same hex turn after turn. We got the Hungarians safely north, so that they will not have to fight with their back against the Rumanian border.
The USSR launch 35 attacks, scoring 7 helds, 27 retreats and 1 rout, while our 1 attack was held by the USSR.

Overall
The USSR keeps pushing, but we are able to push them back again in alot of locations, we then fill the empty hex with a worn down unit, forcing the USSR to spend MPs on clearing the hex again. The USSR manage 34 attacks, scoring 4 helds, 25 retreats, 4 routs and 1 shatter. Our 6 counter attacks result in 4 retreats and 2 routs, while in all 4 retreats, atleast one unit routs as well.

Losses
USSR : 118.000 troops, 1.332 guns, 715 AFVs, 595 AC.
Axis : 62.000 troops, 1.313 guns, 69 AFVs, 6 AC.
Two things are noteworthy;
1. If all our forces fought as well as the Luftwaffe, we would be in Siberia by now.
2. Our AFV losses are mainly TDs, of which we have plenty to spare, while the USSR losses are mainly in light and medium tanks.

Overall
My recon pilots could not believe what they heard, as they were ordered to fly for once (usually there is no need for me to see what lies behind the front). When I opened the turn, I noticed the USSR had suddenly flied alot of deep recon flights this turn, that is something new. After flying my own recon, I was atleast happy to see that the USSR does not really have alot of units in the rear, and there are no signs of any buildup (should have taken a screenshot after my own flights I realize now...oh well).
The USSR keeps pushing everywhere, and I keep putting low TOE units in their path to slow them down, and only counterattack where it seems plausible that I will succeed. I THINK I might be able to hold untill mud, but Rumania will flip this winter no matter what I do.
The USSR launch 35 attacks, scoring 7 helds, 26 retreats and 2 routs, while our own 7 attacks nets us 4 retreats and 3 routs.

Overall
Nothing really changes, the USSR pushes my weak units back, then I move them back in front of the USSR again to make them attack the same hex again and again. In the south we managed to isolate a stack last turn, and the USSR did not manage to open the pocket, so we got ourself some prisoners this turn. I was quite pleased when I saw what kind of units we forced to surrender.
The USSR's 23 attacks ammounted to 3 helds, 19 retreats and 1 shatter, while we only made one attack, causing a surrender.

Losses
USSR : 163.000 troops, 2.257 guns, 488 AFVs, 410 AC.
Axis : 47.000 troops, 807 guns, 45 AFVs, 93 AC.

Units lost
The USSR force the 1st Guards Rumanian Infantry Division to shatter. This is not too bad, since Rumania will change sides sooner rather than later anyway.

Units destroyed
The 2nd Rifle Corps, 14th Guards Cavalry Corps and the 11th Guards Cavalry Corps surrender this turn. Two cavalry corps less to worry about is always a nice thing.

The air ratio tends to be distorted somewhat because unlike the other figures, air numbers include units not on the map, ie the national reserve. He may have half his airforce there if he's not deliberately trying to get more airbases generated. Do you have much in your reserve?

I think I have about 80-85% of the LW on the map. Their morale is high as ever, so do not see any need to pull more of them back.

Overall
Yikes. Let this be known as "The Turn of Aerial Losses".
The USSR makes alot of attacks and form 2 pockets around some of my panzer divisions. The northern pocket was lightly held, so there I could rely on ground units only, but in the south the pocket was held by guard units, and I dared not to gamble, but decided to send in as many ground attack planes as possible. They died in huge numbers, but we reopened the pocket in the end.
The USSR made 36 attacks, scoring 4 helds, 31 retreats and 1 rout, while our 5 attacks gained us 4 retreats and 1 rout.

Losses
USSR : 140.000 troops, 1.766 guns, 862 AFVs, 604 AC.
Axis : 62.000 troops, 1.300 guns, 131 AFVs, 224 AC.
Lost about the same ammount of AC this turn as I have usually lost in 10 turns earlier...

Units lost
The 6th Rumanian Infantry Division shatters. Again, not neccessarily a bad thing at this point.

Overall
And there goes the Southern flank. Operation "Bye Bye Rumania" is goven the ok this turn, and we start to move our German and Hungarian troops north. This will accellerate the USSR advance in the south, that is a given, but rather that than to have useful units trapped in the south. The USSR also trap 3 divisions this turn, we do not even think about relieveing them.
A total of 40 USSR attacks were made, resulting in 1 held, 30 retreats and 9 routs.
