Here' s me boosting some of the airframes production.

I've still got a midget sub at Pearl, but it's not doing all that well. It took a near hit from a DC and has
damage, major damage and it's got a really short range.

I thought it prudent to bring the carriers closer to Kaiveng to provide some top cover and the act of moving has
spawned some major damage on one of my BB's. I'm not sure I have enough DD's to provide one for escort to bring
the BB to Truk. I'm thinking I'll sail the whole TF to Truk after this operation is over in a day or two.

Aledgedly there's two AKL's in the port at Kuching on the north coast of Borneo and I thought it might be a good
idea to put together a sub patrol TF to investigate the situation. It's shallow water and that's a drawback but
I'd trade a sub for a transport or two.

I gave a suicide mission to TF 246 recently and they did it, they're on their way home ( CRB ), and they might just
make it. They laid some mines at Singkawang and I really didn't expect them to get there to do that but it turns
out they did. Mines might tend to persuade the Allies to stay away from Singkawang for a while. I'm guessing it
might stay about a week. After that probably no hits.

report on Karor now. I tried to cover just
about everything. I can answer your questions now, else the briefing is

There's a fierce battle going on at Manado, or whatever is the name of the
place and I thought it maybe a good idea to get nearby Sangi just to cover
the northern flank and eventually base some planes. I'm putting together
a TF 194 to carry an independent LCU, which reminds me I need to include
some engineers in the load, anyway, 194 is to be followed by a TF carrying
some supplies, a TF for laying some mines, and a TF to bring a load of fuel.
What's that for you ask, it seemed like a good idea in rehersal.
The troops are loading now and the attack will launch from port shortly.

EDIT: I tried to add some engineers to the load but the dock is full,
again, and that TF will have to sail separately later.

I started to do a full report of Tokyo now but I think I need a nap now. I'll finish it later, right now
you need to know that I slipped up on the loading of the transports and they are loading supplies like mad
and I put a stop to it but not before Tokyo slipped below 10K supplies. All those facilities that were
repairing now aren't etc. D'oh. I've turned on the stockpilling so it's supply will grow faster. I've
got to be more careful.

Things have been quiet in the Tarawa area lately. I think I'll try laying some mines at Tarawa and see what
happens. Twenty five mines is all I could scrape together on the island. It'll have to do for now.

Hiroshima finally produced three AKE's and the problem is that there's no escorts for them. I'll have to wait for
escorts because I don't dare send them into Home Islands waters without an escort. I think there's some small
ships at Yokohoma that I can send for.

I found a couple of E's at Tokyo that weren't doing anything that can escort those Hiroshima AKE's.

I started to do a full report on Osaka but then I ran into an operational Nate group that I need to move to China.
It's got a TRACOM-qualified instructor and lots of hot shot pilots so I moved it to Shanghi for the good they might
do there. I fully envision moving them to Canton soon.

I think I'm going to try to transport some supplemental arty to Hong Kong and I'm going to need a lot of
minesweepers to get past the Hong Kong mines so I'm moving some DMS ships from Tokyo to Samah to build
that TF. I should have thought of this a week ago.

I received Brian's moves just now and I've been watching the combat replay and posting in the AAR for those interesting
events. Brian's subs have hit about 6 transports now, this turn, but no explosion. He must be soooo frustrated with
his subs.

After all the sub action the airplanes started and there's this unescorted strike on Singapore that got decimated.

My troops at Hong Kong did another ground bombardment and the results aren't great but it's a start. I think they need
a lot more arty before any progress will be seriously made.

My carrier flyboys sighted an Allied TF just north of Manado and flew a strike that sank almost everything. Mostly
just Allied transports.

And then my carrier flyboys found a second TF, a different TF and struck it too. Lots of good hits and even sunk
two ships.

One of my troop transport TF's finally landed at Daruba. There was a Gim Taml lost during the landing.

And there were landings at Talaud. Nothing was lost going across the beach this time.

There was a land battle in the PI at Baguio and it's a good start.
