CW initiates naval combat in the Italian Coast with their lone SUB.
Italy does not commit their FTRs.

(1) No surprisepoints for some reason I do not understand. Both in the 4-box, I roll 1 better and they have convoys. Why do I not get two surprisepoints?
(2) Another strange thing is that my Dutch sub has Naval attack 3 against the 3 Naval attack of the Italian CA. The program suggests no effect on the CA and an abort my SUB. Why? Should the damage not be symmetrical here?
When a sub fights a surface combat, its combat value is reduced by one. So the CA has a strength of 3 and you have a strength of 2.
