The open city of Copenhagen, Denmark was "liberated" by a CW engineering division. This liberation resulted in the destruction of two naval units and the escape of two more, both of which were CPs. They had no choice but to flee through the Baltic. The first CP made it without incident. However, the second was caught by the Soviet Navy and a naval battle ensued.

Germany has no ability to move any units except naval units down or back to port in the Baltic, which would disorganize these units.

The US and British forces search the Fuhrer's bunker but find it empty except for a few diehard Nazis that shot themselves, none of them the Fuhrer. An exhaustive manhunt is under way for Hitler. Rumor has it that the two charred bodies found in a shallow grave in the courtyard of the bunker is Hitler himself and his mistress Eva Brown.

Hearing of the fall of Berlin, Admiral Raeder who is at sea in the Baltic with the remnants of KM, orders the KM to find and engage the Soviet Navy who just sunk over a million tons of German merchant ships. This order is to no avail as the KM is unable to locate the Soviet Baltic Sea Fleet.
