Another even day in the air with 40 losses each. Mine were in the air and Gordon's were on the ground. Unless I seriously outnumber the Jap fighters I seem to come out on the short end of the air battle.

Rabaul fell and mopping up operations have commenced.

Invasion force has departed for Kusaie Island.

Gordon is either trying to supply or evacuate Truk. My P-38s didn't fly becuase I hit the "Set all fighters" button when I was on a Corsair squadron and their range got reduced to 5. Losses weren't too bad but should have been lower. It has been corrected so I expect a big raid on Truk.

Kusai Island fell in a sngle attck so at least something went right.

Bad weather prevented the air raids on Truk but surface raiders savaged the transports there.

Looks like Iman is going to fall soonere than expected.[:(]
At least the defenders are causing heavy causualties.

Raids on Cayagan went well. If the P-38s outnumber their opposition they do much better than in an even fight.

Another quiet turn. I will be invading Bikini next just for the heck of it and to give my SeaBees something to do.

I have also moved troops to the dot hex just south of Davao. I hope to build it to a lvl 2 AF to provide fighter cover for the future invasion of Mindinao

Thumped Eniwetok again. I am waiting for some LSTs to arrive from Rabaul before invading. Landings should be by the middle of the month. I am guessing that the LCUs here are fragments that were pulled out of Kwaj by barge before it fell.

Slow turn. I bombed Andaman Island to damage it's supplies. With the sea lanes covered by my AC I am hoping to either starve the 40K troops there or make Gordon pay to resupply them. The base is far too strong for me to attack even if I got through the swarms of Bettys to get there

Gordon pulled off some nice surface raids and sank several supply laiden barges. My P-38s took out the Nicks that bombed my barges last turn.

Subs are starting to become effective.
