Allies impulse 2 March/April 44 ( impulse # 3) Rain in arctic, fair for the rest.

US uses another O-chit, this one on Bradley

Another German bomber and Fighter were lost as well as a CW Fighter.

Attacks in Normandy and in the mid France were made and German losses were heavy although a few were only shattered. A few German units in the faar west of rance are in a supply problem and near cut off.

Russia knocks out a German Infantry by Stalingrad, Russia now has 4 hexes on the city. A Russian Mil oozed into Yaroslavl threatening the German north front flank.

Axis impulse 2 March/April 44 ( impulse # 5 ) Rain in Arctic, fine for the rest.

German ground strikes are fairly successful this time but at a cost of a large German bomber lost and a CW Tempest Fighter downed.

German forces evacuate Stalingrad and reform the line to the west. In France the last German units on the Bay Biscay coast were withdrawn inland to forma better defensive line.

Japan sets out convoy defense forces.

Allies impulse 3 March/April 44 ( impulse # 7 ) Blizzard in arctic and snow in temperate

Progress slowed a lot but Russia managed one attack that shattered 2 German units and put anotherhole in the German front.

In France the US advanced on the French Bay Biscay coast and now holds the entire line there, One attack killed an Italian HQ a little inland there.

Germany abandons Saratov and Gorki while retreating westwards in Russia in order to maintain a cohesive front line

Allied impulse 4 March/April 44 ( impulse # 13 ) Storm and rain

Us manages to put Truk out of Supply but no more than that this turn.

One more attack in France costs the Germans another 2 units.

Russians advancing and occupying Saratov and Gorki.

Turn ends with a partisan in Spain.

It is tough fighting and the Allies are slowly advancing using O-chits to break holes in the German and Italian defense lines

Allied impulse 1 May/Jun 44 Weather is good and operations swing into massive moves.

USA takes a supercombined, CW combined

Many air actions overs ground strike attacks, @ US bombers and 4 German Fighters lost. Average strike results.

CW invades and takes Rotterdam, USA invades and takes Truk, Hall Islands, Pinto reef, Kevieng in New Ireland and Feni. Jap fleet rebased to Japan.

Russia attacks and blows a hole in the German defensive lines.

Russia enters Vologda, Russia did lose a couple of units in the attacks. German losses East and West are substantial, HQ's Guderian, Kesselring and Mannerheim lost.

The front in France is now along the Loire river and Normandy.

Germany retreats in Russia to form another unbroken line. The front is now nearing Rostov and Moscow. German troops railed into Moscow and Kalinin.

In France moves to contain the CW units in Rotterdam and the USA units on the far side of the Loire River. Not enough strength to attack.

Japan reinforces the Oil source hexes and sends few planes to new bases

Allied impulse 2 My/Jun 44 ( impulse # 3 ) All Fine weather

USA uses O-chit on attacks in France

More ground strike runs and a few planes lost on both sides.

US and CW attacks in Frances have now broken the Loire river line and the CW took Amsterdam although they are not ll that strong in Rotterdam and Amsterdam.

Russia again made a hole in the German defense lines and keep advancing. The rear rail lines around Saratov have now been restored to Russian control and the Russian production will take a large step up since now the Caucasus oil can reach Siberian factories again.

AXis impulse 2 May/Jun 44 ( impulse # 4 ) Fine everywhere

The Axis forces sends out bombers to try to slow down the Allied advances in France and genrerally position their land forces to maintain an unbroken front even though it now is almost back at the Seine river.

In southern France the Italians still hold but are being pressed hard.

Japan is strengthening their defensive strength in key Cities and the oil sources. Naval air is patrolling the essential sea areas.

The Russian front is seeing another round of German pullbacks and the line is now NE from Rostov and curving back to just east of Moscow in the north.

I just threw out my Win XP computer and got a new Win 7 machine. It is quite a bit of work to get everything installed and ready in the new computer so I will continue this AAR in a day or so.

Several successful ground strikes in France, the German Fighter force is spent for the turn.

Attacks in France blows another hole in the German lines, they will have to retreat to the seine now.

Russian attack costs the Russians a Mech against a German Div.

Germany continues to retreat, In France, where the units are fewer than desired now, the line is behind the Seine river and southeast to Lyons. Italians hold the front from Lyons to Marseilles. In Russia the line is now from Rostov in the South to Ryazan and Moscow.

Italy is still very strong and has not been hurt much so far, they are likely to survive the war.

Japan is reinforcing their oil and other defensive key points and likewise are likely to still be a force to reckon with in 45.

Allies impulse 4 May/Jun 44 ( impulse # 7 ) Fine except N Monson rain

Additional pressure on the Germans and Italians. three Russian attacks kills some Germans and shatters a few ore. New holes in the East front made.

In France The Allies fought and killed several German units and are now at the Seine river line with only a few German units behind the River.

Italian units in the French Central mountains south of Vichy knocked out.

This time only minor reinforcements of the lines were needed. Paris is now garrisoned with Engr and 2 strong units.
