Looking at the Manual (section 7.15) and thinking about this further, the rule is that the presence of 2 enemy units will reduce ANY resource strength by 1 per turn.

So this is actually correct. Why it has caught me out is that we originally introduced this rule for land warfare, so it was only when reading your explanation that it started to dawn on me...

AHHH ! I was also only thinking of land warfare ! This is interesting and I must pay closer attention in future games to locations such as Malta to see the effects of having two or more naval units adjacent.

Speaking of the change from four to two units for the effect on resources, I will say that I think it works well. And judging by the lack of any other comments, I suppose everyone else agrees.

I hope so. What we have changed since the last patch is that now the strength reduction will only occur during one side's turns, e.g. if the Axis have 2 units adjacent to an enemy resource, then only in the Axis turn will the resource lose strength. It seemed to work a bit too quickly otherwise.

Possible bug playing a pbem game.
It's not a big deal but I think it's important you know the issue. In previous SC games whenever you saved a game you had the file where you saved the game with the "sav" extension. In SC WWII WiE there is a new file with the same name but with the "dat" extension.
In multiplayer games I always overwrite the game over the same file and send it, and the same applies when I receive the next turn from my opponent.
And here is where the problem comes, when I tried to load the new turn sent by my opponent after overwriting the previous one(only the sav) did not reflect it was the Axis turn (I'm playing the Axis). I had to rename the file and then I had no problem (I had previously sent my opponent a mail to check out if the file sent was the correct one, and it was) and the next turn where it happened the same thing I tried deleting the "dat" file and then it recognized it was the Axis turn.

We're playing v1.00.11a with a patch that Hubert sent us to solve a bug with the passwords.

When pressing F8 appears a screen that tells you about the AI attack/defense plans or so it seems.
I suppose the game is still in debug mode and this hotkey will be disabled and the screen will not appear in the final release version.

That sounds like a good idea.

I've seen this before and it looks a little odd so this time when it popped up I grabbed it. The situation is - when the US joins the Allies it looks like there is a double '-40' to the US [highlighted green], on this turn only. The next turn it is not there. The effect is that the US loses two 40's, while the USSR gains only one 80.

The cost of decision event: Italy Declare War on Greece is not in line with decision event text. Actual 150 MPP vs 100 MPP in the decision text.

I think this is wrong, should be Budapest, not Belgrade?

Image

I can't see the image either I'm afraid. Do you want to repost it or explain?

Thanks

Bill

Yeah, it's the decision event about overthrowing the king of Hungary and putting the Arrowcross party in charge.
In the Notes of the event it says:

"Hungary would only surrender were allied units to capture Belgrade"
I think it should say Budapest instead.

Thanks for these bug reports. [:)]

The 40 MPPs being deducted twice in one turn might be hard to prevent. The scripts are fine, but if the USA moves from neutral to fully mobilized in that turn, both scripts are firing. I'll have to think about this one.

Thanks and this will actually stay in the game as it is a tool that modders can use as well to debug their campaigns when testing their own AI scripts.

There is a little bug within the 1.0 version, which renames units once they were avaible for a cheaper price. The unit gets the star letter (from the purchase menu) constantly attached to its unit name.

Not sure how or when triggered, but the bug where no interface button will work is still unsolved.

Thanks for these latest reports Claus, can you tell me if this bug for the interface occurs in the main game play area as well as in sub screens, or something else?

It occurs while using the main map. You move your units and while you do it you feel the need to click on a menu button, but none of them react (end game, save game, diplomacy, purchase).
Keyboard short cuts don't work either.

Not sure if this is a bug, but it doesn't make sense to me.
Germany has developed level two of Amphibious warfare, as you can see in the image I have loaded troops into a Troop and Amphibious transport but both of them show that they can be upgraded. Shouldn't they be showing a "2". What's the point in upgrading transports, the technology has been research and should be applied. I'm sure this is how it worked in previous SC games.

v1.00.11a
Have a save if needed.

Thanks and this should be fixed now as well on my end.

Not sure if it is a bug, but in the 1944 campaign France loses quite a bit of income around May / June 1945, and I'm not sure why.
The whole of France has been freed from any Axis forces since several turns. All i can Imagine that there is a multiplier turned of after a certain date.
Paris is at supply level 5. I've had rested an american AA unit there for some time, maybe there is a conection?

Image

Ok, next turn, when the american AA left Paris, the City went to 6 supply. So I guess is that allied units prevent an allied city from gaining Supply, maybe they even reduce the supply of the allied city by their pure presence alone.

Yankee, go home, or at least elsewhere, sil vous plait.

Another question regarding Czechoslovakia: this nation turned out to be neutral, so I declared war on it (via Russia). I guess that solution was intended by design, righ?
