Willie is correct. As can be seen from the attached picture he is already broken the MLR that I was forming. He hit it with 8 tank and 3 Mech Inf brigades plus a couple of recon Regts. He is now only about 150kms from my last MLR and then he hits the Berlin defensive area. There is nothing to stop him now but his supply lines. If I do not cut and run my fear is that I will have nothing to hold the Berlin area with. But the speed those tanks are moving he may overrun my withdrawing units.

So from the last picture you see the tip of the Russian southern armour heading to Berlin it is a long way off, what you don't see is the central Russian armour[8|]

This is an overview of the entire front for turn 322. I am now in full retreat. Willie has went through my last defensive line without missing a step. The yellow circle

The Last MLR before Berlin is between 3 & 5 hexes deep. The front & 2nd line is entrenched to 100% with all units at 100%+ supply level.

With 78 turns to go for a draw I think I have Buckley's or none.

Soo...one point of the Soviet advances from 1943 on was to grab as much of Eastern Europe as possible before the Allies did. In that respect I would think Berlin should not be the only objective. The minor Axis capitals should also be on the list maybe? Slovakia, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Yugoslavia. If Germany surrendered and there were no Soviet troops in the minor Axis countries the Soviets could not guarantee the Allies would not occupy them. And even if there were an agreement that the Soviets could 'have' Eastern Europe, Stalin would not trust the Western nations to adhere to that agreement. The Allies could easily occupy the Balkans via Italy. By allowing the Soviet player to ignore those countries they merely create a huge mass of forces and plow into any defense between them and Berlin. Seemingly at their leisure. Just my opinion.

It's not only this. From turn 1, SU-players often send the VVS to Sibiria, until the shock recovers. Or give up a lot of land, what would not have been possible because of political reasons. TOAW IV has no good way to implement political impacts. Even supply is a problem: ONE rail track could supply 100.000.000 men, no problem. :D So there are a lot of issues in a large scenario like this one.

A single track Soviet line could carry 24 trains per day and could supply a Soviet division equivalent of 100 to 150 divisions depending on how active the front was.

Lobster I have at least 40 armies marching through the Balkan states, that is a mere fraction of the power the Russians can command, elsewhere huge armies head towards Berlin.
