RE: TECHNICAL SUPPORT Q: Database Issues
ORIGINAL: SeaQueen
Just spotted a glaring oversight:
Generic passenger loadouts for all USAF, USMC, US Army and US Navy cargo capable aircraft. The idea is that these aircraft could be used to support non-combatant evacuation (NEO) missions and the victory conditions would be trapped by noting changes in the inventory of passengers at the origin and destination bases.
In theory, wouldn't that be applicable to also LCACs? I seem to remember when there was trouble in Beirut about a decade ago, US (and allied) civilians got evac'ed that way (on the USS Trenton IIRC)

Great suggestion, will definitely look into this. It's going to be a big job though!

Critical Asahi-class problems, at DB3K Ver.476
JMSDF Asahi-class
Remove J/OPS-10 and J/OPS-20C Radar, Asahi-class has J/OPS-48 faced array Radar.
OPS-48 Radar is ship-mounted version of HPS-106 AESA Radar on P-1.
Surface search I band radar. As I wrote that is face array,so there are 4 of them.
The Military research magazine in Japan is the source of this wiki.
https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E3%81%82 ... %E4%BB%A3) (Japanese Wiki)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asahi-class_destroyer (English wiki, you still can check name of OPS-48, not OPS-10 and OPS-20C)
Quote form wiki, from Picture's underline part.
Should I put more HOS-303 with Type-97, 07VLA, MOD and FAJ systems informations? I already put the info but I want to know I need more informations to add or not.

= (Tanslated by google)This is shipped based on the P-1 patrol aircraft HPS-106 and uses four fixed face antennas of X band active phased array (AESA) type. As its name suggests, it is not merely a counter-water search radar but a system that allows immediate detection and categorization of a periscope, and it is also expected to lower the accuracy of torpedo attack by suppressing the outcrop of an enemy submarine periscope

We already have BQM-74s, so I think GQM-163 (supersonic) target drone is worth to add.

RE: TECHNICAL SUPPORT Q: Database Issues
Additional Reference for OPS-48 AESA Radar for Asahi-class (picture below)
There is name OPS-48 at number 6 in picture is the OPS-48 as it showing.
OPS-48 is explained as Periscope finder, so can find a small targets.
Type 97(GRX-4) should have 1990 early technology seeker.
Type 97's 97 means starts service in 1997.
Type 12(GRX-5) should has the late 2000's seeker due to staring development from 2005.
This has same size and weights so 38% of the parts are same. But has improved seeker and Magnetic scanner. and has more maneuverability.

RE: TECHNICAL SUPPORT Q: Database Issues
Probable errata:
HQ-9 Batallion in both versions has a missile defence value of 1, per comparison, even the oldest S-300PT has a value of 5 and, while not the most powerful model of the S-300 family, HQ-9 is far more capable than a first gen Grumble.

Any chance we can get DBID# 2394 A-90 Orlyonok Ekranoplan enabled for Cargo.
Here is the Wiki with a 28,000Kg capacity which matches the current DB cargo rating: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A-90_Orlyonok
Acording to this site: https://www.militaryfactory.com/aircraf ... ft_id=1251
it could carry 150 troops. I cannot find the interior cargo dimentions but the overall size was 190.6 ft long and 53.4 ft high
The photo at this link gives some scale with trucks etc: https://www.jetphotos.com/photo/6035783
This photo should also help:
And a much better reference that discusses payload here: 3x BTR or 1x BTR + 1x PT-76 or up to 200 troops
https://www.naval-encyclopedia.com/cold ... 0-orlyonok

RE Project 22160 Vasily Bykov
Suggested amendment to Project 22160. Vasily Bykov.
1.Change main gun to AK-176MA.
2.12.7mm guns amidships. 12.7 mm Kord machine gun 6P59 on the mounting 6U16 has limited AA capability. http://www.zid.ru/eng/products/47/detail/1019
3.Add 2 x 7m boat capacity from amidships and 1 x 11m boat from stern dock.
4.Remove Club/Kalibr container if 11m boat dock added.
5.Aďd 2 x PAL navigational radars.
6.None of the construction shots or the film footage offers any pictorial evidence of any GIBKA mount. Consider removing it. Although there are numerous sources quoting SA-24 being carried are these just hand held?
http://www.russiadefence.net/t6657p175- ... atrol-ship
Also please add 14.5mm MTPU mount with anti air capability please.
MTPU is Used extensively in Russian Navy on Admiral Gorshkov, etc.
http://zid.ru/eng/products/47/detail/235
https://bmpd.livejournal.com/2467332.html
"Until 2020, the Arsenal should supply the Russian Navy with 22 modernized AK-176MA artillery systems. The first sample has already been sent to the Zelenodolsk Plant named after A.M. Gorky for the lead ship of the project 22160 "Vasily Bykov".
Main gun of the lead ship Bykov has a 76.2mm AK-176MA not the 57mm A-220.
A-220 appears to be a proposal for the future or export.
Not sure if AK-176MA is in DB3K but also going to arm Karakurt class per the above article and 22 units purchased by Russian Navy.
Apart from a reduced RCS cupola the new 76.2mm gun appears to have a marginally improved rate of fire, range and accuracy.
Thanks for considering.

Removed.
RE: RE Project 22160 Vasily Bykov
Minor note, but the Su-57 Frazor designation is only a rumour and doesn't make sense; all NATO codenames are real English dictionary words and you won't find "Frazor" in one.
RE: RE Project 22160 Vasily Bykov
Not a criticism of anyone wanting to consider using the term "Frazor" as a place holder in the DB but there's not a single official source using the non word
"Frazor" in relation to the Su-57 OR PAK-FA.
No hits from a search of NATO or US DoD websites.
This seems to be an unsubstantiated Twitter rumour given too much credibility by a single print article which notably put the term "Frazor" in quotes but failed to reference the source.
Would be happy for someone to prove me wrong with a credible source though.
