Please don't misunderstand me, i don't want anybody to tell me where they are, i'm just saying i'm not going to be too aggressive here because i don't know where they are.

It's early 1942. Allies really can't challenge full KB, in any way.ORIGINAL: RADM.Yamaguchi

My advice - don't split KB. Keep every CV, and CVL in the same hex, two TFs top. And keep there some BBs, and CAs also. In the same TF, as CVs. Your main problem will be fuel close to front.
This is actually Death Star situation. In late 1944 Allies will do the same, but you will have more planes for your disposal then. Many Allies players tried to stand against KB in 1942, but only maybe two succeeded.

RE: RADM Yamaguchi's Diary (Pls no affins or cheesesteak)
TWo ways to play it:
1. The Big, BAD DeathStar. Bold, brash, killing machine
2. Stealth DeathStar. Comes out of hiding, wham, bam, then disappears.
Both work. Your choice.

RE: RADM Yamaguchi's Diary (Pls no affins or cheesesteak)
Two things happen on the allied side as you progress through '42.ORIGINAL: RADM.Yamaguchi
i've been used to having higher quality troops than my oppponents. Guess that's not the case here. Wish i knew more about the allied side. Never played it.
1. Allied troops universally start with low morale and EXP. Both increase and both have a huge impact upon battle performance. Remember this for later in the war when your reserves arrive who are low in both morale and EXP.
2. Allied troops flesh out their respective TOE's (most start short of hardware like arty/engr) and then they start to upgrade their TOE's. In general, they keep about the same AV, but gain a LOT more firepower. Beware. This is the component that you will never be able to match.
As pertaining to (1) above, you want to rotate your troops in and out of battle in '42/'43 so as many units as possible gain exp into the '80's. INF/ARM will gain pretty quickly. ARTY/AA gain painfully slow, and rarely get much above the national training max (50/55 for the IJ).
Finally, remember that replacements will dilute exp … they arrive at national start (~35 for IJ).

Okay, sorry i posted the whole thing. Can somebody help me on this. How do they get one strike with this many bombers. I thought there was some kind of penalty that caused smaller raids. I must be doing something wrong. I can never have my CV TFs produce a raid with this many bombers. can somebody tell me what setting to use.
Oh yeah, and i thought for sure their CVs were in Melbourne. I'm not sure how they got over to attack Rauol. There must be a whole lot of stuff going on south of NZ.

RE: RADM Yamaguchi's Diary (Pls no affins or cheesesteak)
is there anyway to eliminate the allied coastwatchers. Or make them less effective?
