Declarations of War and Alignments: None

Japan: Land
Germany: Land
Italy: Combined

Naval Air: None

Naval Movement:
Italy

A small task force puts to sea. I say no to interception as its obvious they are to remain in the Western Mediterranean. A GARR is picked up from southern France and the fleet settles into the 2-box.

The Italians decline combat in both Western and Eastern Mediterranean area. Do the French/CW wish to initiate in the Western basin?
They have a number of naval rated aircraft that can reach.

A BA.65 flies to Lyons

Germany

Two stukas (5-strength) fly to Paris and one (6-strength) to the hex southeast and a 5-strength German fighter flies to protect the Italians. Does the D510 in Lyons fly to protect its hex or remain on the ground?

Ground Strike (Air to Air Combat Subphase)

As per previous order I assume the bomber is the target and so roll both dice together

Round 1

Allied - 12 (AC) The bomber is cleared through
Axis - 14 (AA) The fighter is aborted Where does the fighter land?

Land Combat:
Germany

The Germans announce two attacks - against Paris and west of Brussels

von Leeb provides HQ Support to the attack against Paris

No aircraft in Belgium. The odds are 32:2 (+21B). The CW has a Harrow and a Beaufort that can be escorted by three fighters. Looks like the Germans have 1 x 5 and 1 x 4-strength fighters that can intercept What do the CW want to do?

Three aircraft against Paris

Japan

I assume Assault for Paris?

To move the game on I will choose Assault. The rationale being that there is little chance of a counter-attack available (as Paris units are already disorganised) and so there is no point leaving Paris.

The fractionals fail (826 thrown) and so odds settle on +14. Land throw is a 5. The Germans lose two units and half the survivors are disorganised. The French lose two units.

Do the French lose the HQ or the INF - both worth 5 but the INF can be reorganised?

Again to move the game on I will save the INF as it can be reorganised next turn but the HQ can't be.
