Research, Production, Losses, and Economy

Research - Nothing new spent on Research.

Production - Medium and Maritime Bombers purchased.

Losses:
Japan - Garrison in China
Japan - Inf-Corp in China
Japan - Inf-Corp in Burma
Japan - Inf-Corp in Malaya
Japan - SNLF-Div in Truk
Japan - Art-Div in Burma
Japan - DD off NW Australia

Economy - Japan gets a momentary bump as the DEI convoy route switches to Batavia. We have now blockaded both Palembang and Batavia.

Tho that Truk thing does seem to be a bug, it shouldn't be an issue once I redesign and simplify both Truk and Oahu.

EDIT: Also note such weirdness has been shared with the devs, over several threads now.

And just by way of quick update.
I'm working far too many hours this past week.
We've gotten two turns done (I just sent back April 5, 1945), so I have two turns of updates.
But no time to post them yet.

Game is still on, and we're in the home stretch.

It's also late, and I'm off to bed.

Updates Inbound!
These might be a little shorter than usual, because there are few of them to get caught up (so while I took my usual screen caps and such, some of it will be from memory).

Burma

Japanese coastal forces have been destroyed, and Indian troops now advance along the road towards Moulmein.
Meanwhile, the remnants of the Japanese units in the north, continue to withdrawn into the interior of Thailand.

However, USN Carriers transiting on their way to India for replacements, provide close air support to our advancing armies, and wipe out an IJA HQ and a Thai HQ along the way.

China

The Japanese route in China continues. The Comm-Chi liberate Peiping, and Tsingtao is under heavy assault. The few remaining IJA forces in the interior retreat to coast; only to find that all port facilities have been destroyed, and there is no place for them to go.

Meanwhile, American forces begin landing at Shanghai, and begin to prepare for the invasion of Korea. I want Korea, because it'll make for an excellent place to launch invasion from and to base LBA.

E China Sea

US forces massing at Shanghai, preparing to invade Korea. USN submarines will move a little south and act as a screen against Japanese interference of the invasion.

National Morale and Strategic Map

National Morale - Japanese NM continues to plunge, due to the loss of high NM cities in China.

Strategic Map - I can't really recall as much. Basically, we're preparing to invade Korea. Malaya and Batavia will be "clean-up" operations a this point.

At this point, the game will probably be done by the end of the year. So there's less of a point to buying Tech or (most) units.

Research, Production, Losses, and Economy

Research - Nothing new spent on Research.

Production - I'm looking at units that can complete in less than 6 months. Anything else is pointless.

Losses - His army in Burma is hit hard, and the Chinese continue to roll his retreating units.

Income - Japan's lack of convoys is certainly evident.

Burma

An IJA Inf-Corps is destroyed in the interior, and Indian forces cut of a Thai Inf-Div (will be out of supply).

Our forces continue the slow progress down the Coastal Road.

China

Tsingtao is liberated. Our forces approach the border of Manchuria. We also move up on Hong Kong; we'll need more than Partisans to defeat an IJA Inf-Corps. But all the ports remain closed, so any Japanese forces in China are going to be eliminated.

National Morale and Strategic Map

National Morale - Japan falls below the 40% threshold. And with the massive gains for liberating the NM cities in China (+7000 each), Chinese NM is now over 70%.

Strategic Map - That blob of ships near the Philippines will make it's way to Shanghai.

Research, Production, Losses, and Economy

Research - Nothing new spent on Research.

Production - I think I bought the last USMC-Div (from gaining Lvl-5 Amphib tech). And a Inf-Corp, because they hit hard.

Losses - More Japanese losses in Burma and China. I can't actually remember where we clobbered the IJN Destroyer.

Economy - I think the bump to US income was from a refund (probably Amphib).

Malaya

I got impatient with the slog towards Singapore. So shifted some American CVs and nuked the IJA Inf-Corp and Inf-Div there. Then landed some Kiwis. Done.

Attention turns south towards Batavia.

India forces cross into Thailand. Mopping up in Southern China. As we finish off the coastal units we'll slowly shift our forces to IndoChina.

Research, Production, Losses, and Economy

Research - Nothing new spent on Research.

Production - Ha. Oh right. I almost forgot. I told Elessar that I'd buy a Dreadnaught, so I did. Like the Montana's historically planned in WW2, it too shall be completed after war's end (Dec 14, 1946). Actually, the real Monty's were cancelled. But my Monty shall be a beauty before she heads to the post-war scrap yards.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montana-class_battleship

Losses - More Japanese Army units fall.

Economy - It's good to see the Chinese economy recovering nicely.
