C'mon you Magyars!!

Aaargghhh!!!! part 1.

The game was played in Budapest. Hungary were at home. What the hell were they wearing???? Cherry Red shirts, white shorts and green socks. Anything else is cobblers. Sort this nonsense out UEFA.

Aaargghhh!!!! part 2.

Something like 84 minutes gone and it's 0-0. A HUGE bit of luck and a cruel deflection for Portugal and the floodgates open...

Hungary 0-3 Portugal

Football is cruel. But what can you say about Ronaldo? Like him or not, you can't doubt his sheer, unbelievable talent. Incredible.

So Scotland will:

a) dominate the match and find a way to lose 1-0 right at the end
b) get played off the pitch and win 1-0 with a ridiculously early or late goal
c) get hammered so badly our next international competition will be a tense struggle with the Faroes over who gets to lose to Iceland in the Semi-finals
d) or something else will happen

think that covers all the options

Russia - Belgium had two commentators a male and a female. The male was painstakingly explaining why Belgium wasn't scoring when the female interjected "I think that Belgium is about to score". And, boooom, instant goal by Belgium! Covering everything helps... [:D]

Well, I guess that she should know if someone is about to score while he is making excuses as to why not. [;)]

I found out that her name is Katia Serra, ex-women National soccer team. I posted a picture of her in the Australian Beauties team. Right now she is leaving the male pundits in the dust. [:D]

Their national color.

UEFA should at first look into that. https://www.euronews.com/2021/06/15/eur ... was-racist

They are all Balkan origin footballers isn't it? that is amusing.

The world is potty. So, footballers know that cameras are all over the place nowadays. This is the Euros so doubly so and every game is televised such that all actions are likely to be caught on film.

Right.

So this total and utter moron thinks its sensible to mouth something so utterly offensive with all the cameras on him.

And the neanderthal then thinks that so long as he claims its not racist (in his view) that is an adequate defence and what he said it not a problem???? What the hell??

Whether its racist or not is totally and utterly beyond the point. It's totally unacceptable and the offensive language of a neanderthal inadequate. And yes, its racist too so UEFA grow a set and chuck this creature out of the tournament.

Good for her. Sometimes those commentators love to hear their own voice so they just keep talking. She is also very easy on the eyes . . . [:'(]

The aptly named group of death. And here's why.

Germany 0-1 France

Sounds close but the French never really got out of first gear. Its easy to see why the French are favourites.

History shows the Germans can NEVER be written off BUT...

...they now have Portugal next and they really can't afford to lose that one or they may be out. They would then need a big win against Hungary and hope that 3 points is enough....

By the same token of course, Portugal are in the same boat. IF they lose to Germany they will find themselves possibly having to beat - and certainly not lose to - France.... group of death.

But the point I was making was that they don't have to be. In a derby, form goes out of the window and as have been proved a bzillion times, anything can happen in a one off derby game.

Better than Paola Ferrari, who, live on national TV at 8:30 PM, pulled a Basic Instinct stunt out of the blue [8|]

Her "pronunciation" (for the lack of a better word) of the Polish team's names is already a meme-storm. Wojciech Szczęsny was a killer [:D]

Half Time: Turkey 0-1 Wales

This is more like it. Let's not kid ourselves. Wales realistically have to win this and they are giving it a go.

Gareth Bale - what quality - and if Aaron Ramsey was up to it he should have had a Gareth Bale assisted hat-trick.

Massive 45 minutes for the Welsh coming up....

Wales managed that really well, never really just hanging in, so should qualify?

Yes should do with 4 points. I've not studied what needs to happen for Wales not to qualify but, they are guaranteed 3rd place and with 4 points and +2 GD (subject to what happens against Italy) they should be okay.

Well done Wales - brilliant from Gareth Bale (ahem... penalty aside) but also the whole team.

Now a chance to get a better gauge on how good Italy are after the hype from the first game. Not a must win (or even draw) game for the Swiss with Turkey still to come, but they will not want to rely on having to beat the Turks, as the latter will possibly still have something to play for if the Swiss lose or draw tonight.
