Guys - thanks for this thread, I read it on vacation abd enjoyed it. Pity it got stuck.

Thanks. We are not necessarily done with it yet. It all depends on whether Steve can make some proper progress with some of the current issues - particularly the convoy stuff which is really causing problems at present.

Updated to version 2.5.5 and I just begun to redo the end of turn orders. I expect this to take a while since I forgotten almost everything that was done. It will take a while to even find the orders. [:D]

Apologies. The saved oil at Batavia and then the Palembang => Batavia resources, thanks.
I had forgotten this change as I did the end of turn.

I am sorry about that.

End of turn now complete and the action can resume. Baring that I made some major mistake.

I did several minor mistakes. Mostly Allied ships returning to the wrong ports. But should be good enough.

Save will be mailed shortly.

Note that there are now some changes from the end of turn pictures. they are not going to be replaced.

M/A 42 Axis 1

No DoW or alignments.

Germany and Italy combined. Japan land.

Italy sends FTR to St Vincent 2-box. Germany sends FW190 and Bf110 to BoB 2-box.

TRS and AMPH to Baltic Sea box 3. MAR loaded on TRS and strongest 4 moving INF on AMPH.

Italy sends 2 subs from La Spezia to St Vincent 2-box.

First up, St Vincent.

The FTR initiates and the Italian NAV joins it in the 2-box.

Do the Allies wish to fly anything to the zone? Beaufighter can make up to the 2-box. The rest, the 1-box.

CW send the 3-range Hurricane, the Indian Buffalo, and the Swordfish to the 0-box.

Italians commit subs.

Searches: Axis 2, Allies 1. Both find.

Italians pick naval air combat.

Do the CW wish to abort the FTR or NAV?

Round 1 didn't go well for the Axis and, bereft of fighter cover, the Italians decide not to go for round 2. Not looking good for the subs.

Could have been worse. How would the Allies like to place the D?

I never got the second air combat roll from the die roller. (The 12)

Maybe it is just some delay before the email arrives.

Not that it matters.

I put the first A on the undamaged sub as if it had saved there was a small chance of leaving 1 sub in the area. Once it failed, the remaining 2 A's meant the other sub was heading back to port no matter what so I didn't bother with the die roller.

The Italians abort the next round. Subs return to Gib, the NAV to Cadiz.

In East Med, the Italians decline combat.

Bay of Biscay

The Fw-190 initiates. The Germans add a NAV and the Italians chip in two for good measure.

The Allies have a range of aircraft available. Most can get up to the 1-box. The Sunderland can reach the 3-box. Any taking to the skies?

CW fly with the Spitfire in Liverpool, and the two three-ranged fighters in Spain. CW throw in the Skua as well. All to the 0-box.

USA will add the NAV and TAC in Plymouth to the 0-box.

With a fair number of planes milling about ...

Searches: Axis 3, Allies 1. Axis find and pick naval air combat.

Do the Allies wish to adjust the batting order?

Put the Skua first.

Edit: And now I got the Cape St Vincent searches. One hour late.

Edit 2: And now the missing air combat roll. Things are speeding up.

The Axis get a pretty good response. The result is CW choice of front bomber or fighter. With Orm having moved the Skua to the front, I assume this will be the sacrificial lamb. With the odds having significantly deteriorated, the Axis abort.
