He counterattacks frequently. Quite often actually. Sometimes the attacks fail. 2:1 in men and artillery is just not enough.

Much to my surprise Leningrad is only protected by a security regiment. I almost missed it. A Cavalry Corps is enough to kick the garrison out of the city. I have a Mechanized Corps in the vicinity but decide not to move it into the city. It was recently formed and has only 5 CV and I don't like mechanized troops in urban territory. A mistake? Probably.
I think the Red Air Force cost him that attack. His final adjusted CV actually went down, unusually.
