Trying to find a silver lining -- will it take him a while to cut your VP total down to 39?

It looks like he can cut through your army at will, except in mountainous terrain. [:(]
You're right

He can cut easily in western Silesia to Dresden and Berlin.

Crossing the Oder won't be a problem

The Troppau Ostrava gap will hold 2/3 turns

He will reach north east of the Hungarian plain next turn

And western Romania is a "boulevard". I only have half a dozen of inf divs taken from eastern Romania to stop him.

The game will last 3 to 5 turns.

Turn 159, 29th june 1944

What should I say?
- several pockets
- breaktrough in western Romania
- situation desperate in western Silesia
- Oder eastern bank cleared

The beast is dying... e-adolf is effectively looking for Steiner, Wenck...

maybe its time for e-adolf to take a vacation to Budapest, relax in a few thermal baths etc. Much nicer than Berlin at this time of the year [8D]

Overall this is as grim as to be expected, but credit for fighting to the bitter end

With russians arriving from the South, it will not be a safe place for a long time...

Hell is a safer place for him!

Another encirclement north of Liegnitz but I succeeded in breaching it. I give up Silesia "

Twenty Tooth of June, Oh my... does anyone remember Ollie the Dragon of Kukla, Fran and Ollie, a TV show?

Thanks for my daily smile...i.e., "Tanks a Lot."

of all your disasters that must have hurt, the combat modification is pretty harsh and it gives him a key advantage ... (not that overall it really matters now ... [;)] )

Berlin surrounded STEF78 (Axis) Oshawott (USSR)

Post by STEF78 »

Turn 161, 13th july 1944

Berlin is surrounded. I managed to rescue the units but it will not hold.

Very surprised to be able to still hold the carpathian line.

And there is a bug with units in Jugoslavia, they can move along the border once in Jugoslavia

Yah..I think the units in Yugo will be forcibly removed next turn. The Pro's were in the same situation and then all their units were gone.

Turn 162, 20th july 1944

With the font shorter each turn, I only need one creenshot to show the whole front.. NIce, isn't it?

Brandenburg and Saxony are lost...

Image

2 successfull attacks this turn, including this one. I know that Pzd aren't optimal in mountains but who cares at this stage of the war?

True, optimal force composition isn't really the problem at this stage. [:)] Keep up the good fight as long as possible!

Its a good thing this isn't the new War in the West map or he would be in Paris pretty soon.

I'm sure that Tito is very happy at that news [:)] ... actually the whole situation with Yugoslavia in this final phase is a complete mess.

Hats off for making it to the final stand [;)]

It reminds me the early 80's at the top of the Afghanistan crisis when we were "waiting" for the russians tanks

'Able Archer' was one of the most dangerous games of all time.

Back to the game, IRL the Germans were allready in full retreat after the pockets of St.Lo and Falaise, so I would assume Paris and BeNeLux are safe from red stars on Notre Dame.
Good defense, Steff!

thanks

on 3rd of august, they were entering in britanny, Paris was liberated the 25th of august.

But if the situation had been as bad on the eastern front, most units would have been tranferred and the advance faster.
