I have ordered my CV Fleet to South from Truk.... at that point they conduct a second massive airstrike againts Truk's harbour!!! Next turn should be intresting since I'am expecting that FDR has bolstered his CAP at Truk!

that george group looks dangerous , it ate up your 4E bombers for lunch , and gave a good account vs the 'jugs'( actually a good thing as i'd read late war japanese fighters were nerfed).
Hate to ask but why ?? did you operate AO's near wake ? midday is close enough for supply/fuel .. unless is was an AI plotted transit .. and we all know how accurate they can be [:'(]

Those George's are nomore problem to the allies. This is because he has moved every aircraft out of Rangoon.
That AO TF was set to follow a main CV TF. Unfortunately they got separated somehow and this let to the 3 AO's being sunk. It was unfortunate event but not disastrous one.

That is logic behind this operation. A swift capture of Moulmein and start to push towards north. There +150 AK/AP's participating in this operation.
Aircover will be provided by RAF from Akyab, Dacca and Myithkina (Thunderbolts, Mosquitos, 2E/4E bombers mostly). I will keep the airfields at Mandalay and Rangoon closed. That leaves him just 1 airbase from which to operate and that is Tavoy. It also seems that he has not concentrated a lot of planes in this area.
This was the only thing I thought sensible since he put up a stubborn defense at Mandalay.
Next few turns will reveal how succesfull this operation will be.

That is true. I think he might have spotted me though. The good thing is that it wohn't take a lot of time unloading the troops. He has only 1 unit at Moulmein so the base should fall very quickly.

Chandspur harbour will be protected by large number of Spitfires. Also there is an 1 Aircombat TF and 2 Surface combat TF in place.
It seems that the Japanese navy is coming to play. BB Yamamoto was spotted by an recon plane moving towards Burma. I would assume that this means that the KB is coming along too.
Meanwhile my ground troops breaking off from Moulmein met some Japanese resistance...

I have ordered my troops to move towards Rangoon itself. It doesn't seem to be too well defended at the moment. Mostly support elements of his army are in place.
FDR said that his troops in Mandalay are ignoring their move orders. Well, ofcourse they since I have bombarded them with my LBA's and ground forces. Next turn another delibarate assault has been ordered.
More engineering units are moving to the frontline from Myithkina.
Allied fighters in Burma are mostly set on LRCAP to protect TF sailing towards Chandspur.
