Filler Names

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

I do not know the BG. I know he was a waist / tail gunner first on a B17 then on a B24. He started with the 12th USAAF then moved to the 15th in Italy. He was never very fond of ME109s or of FW190s.

What a great idea.  If you are still accepting names I would like to put forward myself, Ian Ratcliffe (wargaming since 1979).  My father, Len Ratcliffe (who lost the fight in 1998.  First saw action on D+1, 7th June 1944 and ended the war in Hamlin 1945).  And my brother-in-law, Kevin Pooley, who has been playing BTR for years, and whose tales of long nights with the game fueled my interest in BTR and ultimately led me to this site.  It would be great if his name could appear in the updated version of the game he loves.

All three preferably the RAF, bombers are fine, but wherever there are gaps that need filling.

Thanks

Ian

Love the idea you have going. Is there any chance you can add my grandfather who was a gunner in B-26 Marauders from early 44 to the end of the war, his name is Arlo Carr and is still alive and kicking.

Thanks

Hi everyone, I'm following your project for a long time now; everytime I pass on Matrix forums I make a visit here, eager fo any news about the game. I finally decided to ask if it's possible to add my name to the game.

Claudio Anelli

I'd prefer to be in an Italian units fighting alongside the Allies, if they will be included in the game, otherwise any Italian unit will do well.

And...another silly request...being myself a great sci-fi fan, and loving the "new" Battlestar Galactica...if you can find a couple of yankee fighter pilots to be called "Lee Adama" and "K***(i guess there weren't much Kara in the USAAF at the time) Thrace", well...i'll be gratefull to you for the rest of my life [:)]

I understand it could be a "little" strange, no problem if you think it's not appropiate.

Thanks for your attention

Okay lets see

Fl. Len Ratcliffe
Po. Ian Ratcliffe
Po. Kevin Pooley

with 88 Squadron, flying Mitchell IIs, 2nd Group (88 flies Boston IIIs)

1st Lt Arlo Carr, with 386th BG flying B-26b, IXth BC (unless you can find the unit he was with)

Po. Claudio Anelli with 102 Squadriglia, flying Mc 205s BAF (got a delay of 312 turns, got to wait on the BAF to come in (tell you the truth, I got to check, as I am not sure which rank settings the It Allied use, I don't have any, I had to really dig to find info on the units and plane types, nothing on pilots)

Hi Hard Sarge

I do not remember what unit he was with, but I know he flew on D-Day prepping for the invasion of Normandy. Since I live on the other side of the world I don't get to see him much anymore, but I will be seeing him in about 6 weeks and if it is still possible to fix him up I will get the information from him.

Thanks

I made a mistake in my posting, 88 Squadron is flying Boston IIIs, not Mitchells

Unit is correct, my posting was wrong

A friend of mine, great fan of the game, would be inserted in the RAF for BTR. A Spitfire unit, if possible.

Name is
Pat Biancardi

Got room for any more RAF bomber pilots? I grew up next to what was RAF Skellingthorpe, and as a lad had a great time exploring the old buildings, bunkers and firing range etc. We dug up incendary bomb fins, gas masks and literally hundreds of unspent .303 rounds etc .   Shame to say the airfield's pretty much all gone now, lost to the urban sprawl of the ever growing City of Lincoln.

So if you've got any vacancies with either No. 50 or 61 squadron, I'd be grateful if you could add my name to the ranks - Anthony Gent.

If it's not to late could I get Philip Weitkamp added. Any US group is fine.
