Minor DB Tweak: HAAWC / P-8 mission profile is incorrect. The point of HAAWC is so that P-8s don't have to descend to low altitude in order to drop their weapons. Instead, they can stay up high where they can monitor more buoys and their engines are more fuel efficient. This translates into more on-station time and greater search effectiveness. They should be attacking from the default station altitude ~30000 feet.

on the facebook froup: F 35 ITALIA IL 1º GRUPPO ITALIANO UFFICIALE. was loaded a picture of the new Trieste with a skyjump beging build it seems that the LHA moving in direction of a CLV.
In the latest years in Italy the only way for have a green light from parlament for new ship is to find a dual role capability, and after during the final building phase same weapons more pops up. Now for the new minehunter they try to said that they may used for "archeological search" the joke in Italy is that the COV in brief for cacciamine oceanici veloci (minehunter oceanic fast) means caccia mine o vasellame (mine hunter or crockery)

With the recent news that Japan is buying F-35Bs to operate from their Izumo-class "destroyers", could we possibly add a Japanese F-35B to the game and maybe even add a hypothetical loadout with dedicated anti-shipping missiles?

Hi David,

Do you have any actual documentation or reference material on this? Thanks for the idea but with the current list of DB change requests it is unlikely that such an unit would be included until some concrete evidence appears.

Here's a couple of links about Japan increasing their order quantity from 42x F-35As to 105 F-35As + 42 F-35Bs:

Plans unveiled to modify the JS Izumo into a vessel capable of supporting F-35B operations:

Japan procuring JSMs for its F-35s; note however that there's no confirmation as to whether the JSM will fit internally on the F-35B, so this may only pertain to Japan's F-35As:

Also while testing isn't due to begin until 2023 (and it probably won't see service until the late 2020s (2028?)), Japan has teamed up with the UK to add their own indigenous AESA to the MBDA Meteor; this is expected to become Japan's primary air-to-air missile for their F-35s:

New bomb sight for Tu-22M-3M. Currently "installed" at Tu-22M3-M #2837 bomb sight OPB-15T Groza #3318 could be replaced.
ST-22-1 optics have four switchable fields-of-view (FOV) - wide (8°×6°), medium (4°×3°), narrow (2°×1.5°), and 2× narrow (1°×0.75°) - all independently stabilised in two plains (vertical and horizontal). According to the manufacturer, the narrow FOV setting can detect a tank-sized target out to 15 km with a 90% degree of accuracy.

Dragon029, Eboreg,

Inclusion of Japanese F-35B's has been added to the (long) list of database requests and updates for evaluation. Possible update in a future database update.

Thanks for the information.

Hey stilesw perhaps you could make available an un editable copy of the list so that people can see what has already been suggested and put on the list. Would save you some time and effort especially if you went beyond that and made a form where people can put in their data and request. Still would need human oversight to manage which goes on the list but no more forum replies.

Ryan,

Good question. I will check to see if there is some sort of summary capability and whether WarfareSims would want to publish it if there is. Can't give you the answer right now - I need to discuss with the folks that I work for. Don't want to commit and end up like this -

No worries don't put yourself in a bad place on my accord. I just was scrolling through a few older pages and noticed that things like fixing the F-15EX radar have been requested over and over again (I believe I was the first to point out the error). While it seems unlikely people will read the list if they don't even check the previous (or current) forum page a list would at least be easier to search in.

Hello all,

I having played this for some time would like to make a couple requests of the Hypothetical units. Specifically the F-24, I was wondering if it could have CEC functionality (On its Link 16 comms) added to it since the F-14E and A-12 also both hypothetical units have this feature but the F-24 does not. The F-24 having this feature would allow others to spot for it and not reveal itself and better able to fight opposing stealth fighters. And maybe updated avionics? At least generic IRST systems (like the A-12 has). My reasoning if it was real a swing wing raptor certainly would have comparable radar/passive suites to that of the F-35 (EOTS/APG-81/2).

Also, another request I feel would make logical sense. The AIM-152B (also hypothetical) lacks CEC functionality like the AIM-120D AMRAAM does. I feel if it was real this feature would absolutely be integrated into this missile. The idea of an another plane with CEC spotting for an F-24 with these missiles would be quite useful far more so than the AIM-120D, but doing effectively the same thing.

Additionally, I have noticed the E-2D lacks CEC on its Link 16 Comm (which is used for target sharing data). So I assume it can only guide AMRAAM once in flight not share its data from APY-9 to an F-35 so it can shoot Radar off?
I would love CEC on its link 16, but if its not real then thats ok. Figured I would ask.

Thank you in advance!

Matthew,

Your requests are noted and will be evaluated for possible inclusion in a future database update. Please understand that there are many other requested/suggested changes that will have priority as they effect real-world simulation performance or correct existing problems.

Any documentation and/or references you can provide regarding these changes will increase the likelihood of their future inclusion.

Thanks for the input. Forum members have a vast pool of knowledge which continually improves CMANO's realism and performance.

Look like more on Iranian Khordad 15 SAM System. I post stuff much earlier I think. Be carefuls on researches as Khordad name used a lot. examples are Khorad 3 demo which different all togethers, Talsh-2 was demo name of this system.

Khordad 15 is system name. Sayyad 3 is missile name. Sayyad 2 and 3 are both copy upgrades of SM-1 they have from Cold Wars.
