Last Allied search is in the China Sea. Japan has three fighters that reach the sea area (one reach the 2-box and the others reach the 1-box). Japan also has a naval bomber that reach the 1-box.

Allies find the Japanese convoy again with a 3 rolled. However, because Japan rolled a 4 USA only has 3 surprise points so Japan selects naval air combat.
I do not understand why Japans 3 (reduced to 1.5, or rather 2 by the rain) gives 'No Effect' on the US sub. [&:] No matter, the surprise points would have to reduced it to nothing anyway. [:)]
