Did a cool thing yesterday (in more ways than one). Our local water utility has a 1200 gpm (1.7 million gallons a day) leak in a 48" water main. With our karst terrain the leaking water was draining into the cave system and not coming to the surface under pressure where you would get with some non permeable bedrock. We used the very cold morning (sub 20F) and the thermal sensor with our UAV to fly the two mile section of line they had isolated it to and found a "warm" area of ground (approx 40F) where the leak might be. They did some small digging and found water that tested positive for chlorine. Since treated water in the middle of a farmer's field is kind of rare, they figure the leak is in that area and are spending the next couple of days digging up this line and fixing the leak.

No more free irrigation for the farmer.

Apparently in Florida it was so cold that they had a weather warning for lizards falling from trees.

Yup, But there not dead. just dormant....GP

As long as they don't break the cooking utensil when they fall in it, that is what is important.
