i don't recall if L. C. did a drawing of this rare bird. It looks like it actually flies in part by use of gas bladders filled with hydrogen...

Hydrogen? Looks like methane to me........

Ah, you are confusing the jub jub with the something of a look-alike cow![:'(] Methane has very little lifting capacity, while hydrogen is 4X as "lifting" as helium. (edited from twice).

BTW - methane is odorless, iirc, although what is mixed in with it when it exits the bovine (or other species) generally is NOT!!![:)]
