patriot101, you have 2/2 status which qualifies you for Round 4 regardless of the outcome of your Round 3 game with BORO. Let me know if you can handle two games at a time.

Next round?

Post by patriot101 »

Does this mean ThomasBell is eliminated after the first battle of the second round? Just want to be sure. I think he had lost both battles in the first round, but is he eliminated already before the second battle of round 2? Just trying to clarify the rules. I am new to this WC stuff.

I am going to be going on vacation on June 13 - June 24, and I have not yet scored a laptop to take with me to keep current on WC. I guess this could technically eliminate me, since I won't be able to respond after 3 days to my turns. I realize i got a late start in the WC, and had a long delay before getting an opponent for round 3, so I don't want to bog the WC down. If BORO is not able to wait till 6/24 for me to start, I can understand that.

I don't think I can handle two games simultaneously until after 6/24 either. If I magically get my hands on a laptop by the end of the day Thursday (that has a modem), I will leave a post back in here.

In any event, this is a very exciting tournament, and I have learned a lot from it.

The three day rule is just for people without excuses. If you give notice of an absence there is no problem. But try to get caught up when you get back. Enjoy the vacation!

Patriot 101 game clarification

Post by Rick Borovec »

I'm about to finish (3 turns left) my round 3 game with Lars Scharfschutze. It appears that he will win. That will put me 2 wins, 1 loss.

Patriot 101 is 2/2. So wouldn't this be a round 4 game? I have no problem waiting until 6/24 to get it going.

Thanks for the clarification.

Boro;)

Boro, you are right, I didn't look through the whole list for Round 3 so your engagement with patriot101 is off.

patriot101, enjoy your vacation, you made it to Round 4 so you can pick it up when you come back.

Thanks for the info. I will try to get some rest for the next round. I am sure it is going to get tougher now. I will try not to listen for landing craft at the beach.....

OKW: Ironfist vs M4Jess is almost done. Four turns left. Heavey fighting accross the board. It will all be descided by pure point score. No-one has a clear advantage. German's advancing on V-hexs. Das ist allest....

Victory in my Rd. 3 game against Rick Borovec:

9186:4347 for a german marginal victory. Game saw slow scouting to ~Turn15, when the Americans attacked in the southern sector. (They kinda had to. I had shot some tanks in the scouting with no losses and was leading in points)

After a few tight turns, I was able to counterattack and destroy the assault coloumn almost totally, still they came within inches of penetrating my lines for good.

Lost vs. Willy, ~2700 to ~8000 marginal defeat.

We are both 1/3 now if I remember correctly.

I need another opponent...

Post by Brutto-Bob »

I received this reply from Rokondo:

"Hi,
I am sorry but I can not play, I do not have much time
Say to the others and good luck to you "

So I need another opponent to play the 4th turn.

Since Brutto-Bob needs an opponent, and my match with Patriot101 was cancelled, how about Boro vs. Brutto-Bob?

Resaults Round 3

Post by Ironfist »

Germany Is Victorious  12,305 to 8283. That gives me one loss and two wins. Great game M4Jess. I thought you had more troops in reserve. Guess I was going to hold v-hexs after all. Do you play any leauge games at "the Blitz.org" site ? I thought for sure you were going to over run me. I will be happy to give you a re-match. At the moment I have had rematches with panzerwilly and aussem. You can pick the set-up. :D
