Central Pacific is basically at mercy of USN, since Kido Butai and IJN carriers are gone.

Only land-based threat remains.

And forgot to mention, got CV Essex recently to bolster CENTPAC.

Some musings:

I hope that Singapore won't be similar "Stalingrad" as Sinyang and Hong Kong seem to be...

Having Essex and Victorious in PH will make future amphibious invasions easier.

All sorts of upgrades (I rarely turn them off, since most are beneficial and I am not in hurry) delay my amphibious assaults.

In few days I get APA/AKA upgrades done and also have lots of LST (commonwealth also have LSI(L)).

Sinyang is annoying, Hong Kong is annoying..probably Singapore will also be annoying...*sigh*.

And N. China doomstack is annoying too, but I can confuse it regularly and it has weakened a bit.

If you own the hexes north of HK, you should be able to make them use up their supply by bombarding them by land and sea and bombing from the air. When they are out of supply their disabled squads will not recover much at all and your attacks can turn disabled squads into destroyed ones. Also helps if your troops gain some HK prep while they are recovering between attacks.
And then there is the rare feat of getting a fully prepped Command HQ together with a fully prepped Corps/Army HQ to get a doubling of your AV (with a good die roll too  ). Lotsa luck to you Sir!
No matter how bad a situation is, you can always make it worse. - Chris Hadfield : An Astronaut's Guide To Life On Earth
