Nice shot of Yul Brynner, but doesn't it look like he is toying with his nipple?

P.S. good to see ya again Pasternakski, how was the sloop ride?
There should have been an Oscar awarded for "best performance by a pair of male knees in a miniskirt." Yul was a beautiful man in his prime.

I'm hunched over my laptop in Naples at the moment, drinking coffee and waiting for the old ball and chain to get her act together so we can head for home today. That is, my home. I don't think the girl is going to make the cut, unless she rallies big time over the next couple of days.

More later. I got 12 meters of shipshape waterline waiting and a soft nor'west breeze to catch.

Sorry about the gal. The important part is how is the sloop, does she at least handle well?[:D] I once got to ride on the Pilgrim and I must admit I was not a natural at the ropes.

Sorry about the gal.
Bah. She saw me as a rich idiot who could be manipulated into supporting her in the lifestyle to which she would like to be accustomed. When she found out she was wrong about the rich part, but right about the idiot thingie, she was happy for me to trundle her off to her return flight. "Bye," I said on parting. "You were the prettiest deck hand I ever had."

Hee hee hee. I'm still free and lovin' it, baby.

Which Naples, Naples, Florida or Naples, Italy? I suspect the former.

Don't you dare apologize to me, BP. I don't know what to do when people treat me with respect.

I have only been in the new digs for about four months (not in Italy, by the way, this was a special excursion). My good neighbor Stavros, who is at least 90 and has lived here all his life, says that this summer has been pretty average. It's a lot like the weather I got used to in northern California where I used to live, but not as hot and the humidity is higher. Very pleasant.

Winters, which are rather stormy and chilly, are good for somebody like me, who prefers solitude, quiet, and a change in weather. I remember them from when I was stationed here long ago in the U.S. Air Farce.

So, I look forward to spending my days here, pursuing my little pursuits.

I'm still trying to disregard this record heat streak in Denver. 23 days 90+ degrees, they promise us it ends tomorrow. [8|]

No joke though. I once lived in Austin as a kid, it got as cold as 33 degrees and I came to school in a windbreaker and a sweater. The other kids were in Eskimo Parkas [&:]. The school administrators called social services on my mom. Took awhile to explain that 33 was warm compared to Montana, Colorado and Minnesota which is where I had come from[:D]. Specially in January.

One of my favorite things about central California was how people thought it was cold whenever the temperature got below 60. I used to love wet, cool days when those people would put on parkas, rain slickers, rain hats, you name it. I would walk into the grocery store wearing a short-sleeved shirt, hoping that the cashier or somebody would ask, "How can you stand going out in this weather with short sleeves?"

My prepared response? "Hey, I got a Constitutional right to bare arms!"

Yeah, but as one of the great disregarders of all time, Bob Dylan once said,

Obscenity? Who really cares?
Propaganda. All is phony.

I've been disregarding him lately.
