Assuming you mean class by model, why would that be true? You can have more than one class of PT.

You are right i didn't think about that.
A ship is a ship and a upgrade is whatever is defined in the editor.

Okay, thanks.

Does ship construction in a certain Harbour affects that Harbour repair abilities for the kind of repairs that need a dock? In a short example when Musashi is put to sea the dock gets free to repairs?

I was wondering if building PT boats at harbors are limited to a minimum harbor size or amount of supply on the base?  I've thought it was a bit too easy in WitP to suddenly transport a dozen fueled and torpedo laden PT boats to a newly captured base just by sailing in a AK full of supplies.   Especially if that base was just captured that day.  Apologize in advance if this has already been asked.

Thanks!

Well according to the rules, you need a level 1+ port with 10,000 supplies OR a TF with supplies (doesnt say how many). But I believe this is incorrect (the manual is in the process of being updated as we speak). I thought I read somewhere a while back they were removing the ability to create them in TFs.

Is it possible that a ship appears in a Harbour that has no shipyard or that appears in game without being build?

I think Andy Mac said, that ships will appear where they historically did enter the Pacific War. Or something to that effect.

Some of the Dutch subs in WitP "appear" in Dutch ports which don't have shipyard repair facilities.  Will this happen in AE as well?

Well, where were they before they "appeared"?  Or did they just spring full-formed from Zeus' brow?

I actually have a lower opinion.

In AE, ships that arrive from off map (i.e. from the Atlantic) will generally appear at off map bases. Ships that appear on map at a specific location were built there, or in a few cases, converted, recommissioned, etc. at that location. Sometimes a ship will appear at an on-map location simply because we are unable to find data to determine where/when it should appear at one of the off map bases. Especially that maddening "left New York on the 29th and arrived Pearl on the following 22nd" that DANFS so very loves. And, for some small or merchant ships, there is just not enough data so they "appear" at the national home base - just like WITP.

However, in AE, it is important. For purposes of arrival, ships that appear at on map bases are considered to be built or commissioned there. If that port is captured before the ship arrives - it will be lost. You will see it in the lost ship report as "destroyed before completion" or, if the scheduled arrival is a long time after the port is captured, as "cancelled".

Important for modders.

Merchants that existed at War start but are requested to military service only after War Start, eventually in some harbour that don't have any shipyard.

So, no goat or lambs across the street. But there is a very cute Bulgarian maid working the hotel nearest my patio. She bends down alot it seems when I'm having a coffee on the patio!![:D]
