Just noticed that Volga Flotilla is set to WHI (Southern Whites).

Will be fixed in the next. This has been fixed in the official version, but I've overlooked it. [:o]

OK, anyway I will ask what is the source of the japanese order of battle in AGEod forum [:)]

Will see the reply [:D]

When I will have more time, I will read Nafziger database. There is a lot of info, especially on obscure periods.[:)]

I've maybe found the Poland bug source. Maybe.

If no game killer bug is mentioned, the current RC should remain unchanged in the next days. [:)]

Hi Chliperic. Spent 5 hours in a row playing FY and could hardly stop. I was especially impressed by rival minors AI. Anarchists and Ukrainians were dancing precisely around the very same cities as in reality of 1919. It looked like some animated RCW documentary film. Thank you a lot.

BTW your current Merovingian-like nom de guerre sounds cool. [;)]

For some reason I enjoy defensive victories the most. Rainy weather helped here obviously. [8D]

Thanks [:)]

AGE engine has a lot of potential once you know how to drive AIs.

So, Uncle Joe hates so much you he's now chasing your forces on the Volga since you enrolled from Southern Whites to Siberian ones [:D]

Could I have the scriptreport and the last turn? I would check how some events work. [:)]

Btw, according to my experience the Red AI never sets garrisons to cities/towns near Petrograd, like Tsarskoye Selo. Could something be done about it? Or is it even worthwhile?

You're right and it's easy to do.

Why?

The AGE engine has since AACW a autogarrison feature. Garrisons appear where there is structures( cities, forts, depots). The feature has 2 ais: reduce micromananging and mainly help AI which doesn't know how to garrison structures.

I've disabled this feature in FY. There is no auto garrison but events concerning some cities creating garrison for AI. I've chosen to implement this because I'm feeling garrisons everywhere will slow too much offensives, especially for AI whose attacks aren't as quick than those of a player. A lot of small garrison in any town could lose the fluidity needed when some offensives were made over hundred of kilometers in a few months, because of the low troop density.

So FY AI cheats less than the offical AGE engine, and the gameplay keeps the necessary fluidity to represent the real war [:)]

Of course, my cities list is certainly uncomplete. Next version.[:)]

From my tests and your files, the RC seems to work without major troubles [:)]

I've rebalanced a bit the Siberian unhistorical path and the Red Military reform options, as the latter was slighty too harsh for Reds and the former to lenient.

There's one really odd thing. Battles don't seem to affect National Morale as they used to. For example the latest unfortunate confrontation with Stalin[:@] cost no NM to me.

I'll attach the save and backup1 to my next post for you to check.

New version of the Fatal Years RC, on my blog ( see my sig):

COMPATIBLE WITH ONGOING GAMES

- modified slightly unhistorical path for Siberian: 10 Eps and 120 NM are now needed to avoid negative events to fire ( balance purpose)
- modified slightly Red military reform option ( bonus should come faster) for balance prupose
- 2 new portraits from Nikel
- added some garrison for Reds in Northern theater
- from june 18 to march 19, the coordination difficulties random event for Murmansk forces should fire more often. This event will affect only Siberian units in the Olonets area.

Humm...There's nothing in my mod which may affect NM gains or losses during battles. NM are lost or won only if units are destroyed. I will look at, but it's either a rare occurence or a bug of the official version. [&:] However, the latter seems to be uncertain as the exe is the same since a few weeks. [&:]
