At this point, it's time to bring this game to an indefinite halt as an Axis victory. The Allies are a long way from defeating any of the 3 powers and while part of me is tempted to see how long I can keep the Axis going, I really want to start another game with oil rules included. The game is saved, so it can always be resurrected as and when I fancy the challenge of the prolonged defence.

It just remains to say thank you to all who have followed this and especially those who have contributed comments along the way.

Back soon

Thanks for putting in the effort to write up this AAR. They're a hella ton of work, and I appreciate anyone who's willing to take the time to craft them, on top of playing WiF (being a time and effort-intensive game to begin with).

Thank you for your appreciation.

It is extra work but it's also quite enjoyable exercising the creative faculties in a bid to make it vaguely entertaining for potential readers. I would encourage anyone to have a go. The more the merrier and the better and more lively the forum would be in consequence.

Thank you for the fun and interesting AAR. I almost feel bad that it has ended, but with the new AAR the fun continues. [:)]

Thanks Orm.

I wouldn't write it off completely as it is set up nicely for the miserly defence challenge so may yet be resurrected. Just not for the foreseeable future.

Thanks for the appreciation John.

I hope you will find the AAR of Mayhemizer and myself locking horns equally enjoyable.

After the start in our game I would be amazed if USSR holds that much ground in 1945...
