RE: Stickied thread for minor database issues?
I would agree.ORIGINAL: LORDPrometheus
I mean I would argue chaff and flares are more valuable for defense in a modern situation than a pair of rear facing 23mm guns but that's just my opinion
However, for an early '70s situation, before modern, reliable BVR missiles, tail guns still had a niche. In 1972, the year the Tu-22M was introduced, there were several MiG kills by B-52 tail gunners.

RE: Stickied thread for minor database issues?
Hi is it possible to bring the F-15X back? I've read in some of the old threads that CMANO introduced it but it seems to be missing from CMO. Thanks, I've not been able to put the game down since I got it!
RE: Thread for DB3000 database problems, updates or issues
Hey, no problem. I think that a very large number of CMANO/CMO users do not have English as their first language.Merry Christmas! I'm fan of CMANO, DLC, and CMO. I have listed units that request to add to DB 3000 v 481.
(I'm sorry, I'm not good at English![]()
It would help if you could provide some specific reference material for these requests. This is particularly helpful for new/modified units so that the correct parameters can be used. You will also need to be patient as the current number of outstanding requests is high so items are not updated immediately, if at all.
Thanks,
-Wayne

The F-15EX is included in the DB3K_480.db3 database so you should be able to use it.

RE: Stickied thread for minor database issues?
The JY-29 radar (db#2247, 2239, and 2240 ) should be a mobile vehicle and not a building. The description and the picture of the unit in the db indicates this.

DDG-179 Maya (2020) AEGIS baseline 9C(J7), BMD5.1
I need to say in 2020, Maya class can equip SM-6, however, Japan didn't bought single SM-6.This is the information on the wiki, and I checked FMS and Procurement record of US-Japan and confirmed this is true.
Other than SM-6 and CEC-capability with E-2D, Maya-class is almost same as Atago-class. I put some differences.
96cell(64+32) Mk41VLS
60xSM-2 blk3B(Weapon:DBID1194)
0xSM-3 blk1B(Weapon:DBID2692)
20xSM-3 blk2A(Weapon:DBID3256)
0xSM-6 Dual1(Weapon:DBID 3357)(0x because Japan didn't buy SM-6 yet)
0xRIM-162A ESSM(Weapon:DBID 15)
16x(Can you please add 07VLA? fb.asp?m=4734984 This gives better ASW capability for Japan(9nm vs 30nm is not small difference))
0xRUM-139A VLA(Weapon:DBID1070)
Sornors
AN/SQS-53C(AN/SQQ-89) (Sensor:DBID 1381)
TB-37/U MFTA(AN/SQR-20) (Sensor:DBID 4490)
Radars
SPY-1D and AN/SPQ-9B, and that's all. (CMANO's DB for Japan usually add wrong radars on ships, so just for make sure)
2x 324mm HOS 303(Mount:DBID 2227) instead of HOS 302.
in addition, HOS 303(Mount:DBID 2227) can launch Type97(Weapon:DBID 314).
Propulsion
2xLM2500IEC COGLAG(Same as Asahi-class destroyer's(Ship:DBID 3128))
2nd ship Haguro, has Type17 SSM instead of SSM-1B, however, I'm still researching this missile.

Thanks! For some reason, it wasn't using the latest DB.
RE: Stickied thread for minor database issues?
Hey! MR-310 Angara-A, and all its versions, from Krivaks and Kashins, is a 3D radar, not 2D! This is a main point of MR-310 program!
And no, Kashin never had 3xHead Net C (MR-310U) radars! First 7 ships had two 2D MR-300(!!!) Angara radars, and rest - ONE 3D MR-310 (!!!) Angara-A plus ONE huge 2D MR-500 Kliver (Big Net) radars!

Central black mast - MR-500 Kliver. Next to right - MR-310 Angara A+. First and fourth masts - FCR Yatagan (Peel group) from SS-N-1 Volna.
And yeah, there was 61E project. In 1975 Hull N3 "Provorniy" was modded as testbed for SA-N-7 Shtil for 956 Sovremenny. So both SA-N-1 and FCRs were replaced with SA-N-7 and its FCRs, and MR-300 was replaced with MR-700 Fregat (i.e. #1550 "Top Steer [Fregat] (Top sail + Strut pair back-to-back" in current CMO DB). 5 Kashins were planned for upgrade, but only "Provorniy" was actually modded.
Btw, i'm sure there is a wild mess about the different versions of the MR-310 on various modifications of the Kashins and Krivaks. From MR-310 Angara-A up to MR-310U Angara-M. Also i know that at least Kashin hull N12 "Reshitelniy", or even all ships after hull N11, had MR-500U instead of MR-500. I'll try to figure it out all this stuff slightly later.
Also, dont forget that many Kashins underwent modernization during repairs. On the first ships the MP-300 changed to MP-310 and MP-500 was added, whole ships were upgraded to 61M, and so on.
p.s.
Ouch, I almost forgot. Kashins M, and indian Kashins ME, have a real hangar for a helicopter! Not Pad+Open Parking, but a real immersed-into-hull hangar right in front of the pad.

RE: Stickied thread for minor database issues?
The B-1B doesn't have Link-16 datalink capability. the IBS Version should have it and sorry spec111 didnt intend to reply to you.
RE: Stickied thread for minor database issues?
Hey! Zvezda-2 from Udaloy II is several times heavier, bigger and more capable than Zvezda-1 from FFGs! And it has heavy LF TASS, not all this crap. [:D]
RE: Stickied thread for minor database issues?
Bump! There is big problem with soviet radars in current DB.
Top Sail (MR-600 Voskhod) is D-band radar, i.e. wavelength 25-30 cm, not C-band.
Top Pair (MR-800 Flag) is mix of D-band Top Sail and C-band Big Net (MR-500 Kliver, incl MR-500U). So i cant be "early 60's tech", cause it is late 70's radar for the first line big ships. [:-]
WARNING! A HUGE FUNDAMENTAL MISTAKE IN CMO DB!
And no, there is no such thing as "SS-N-16 Stallion [RPK-7 Vodopei]". This 650mm stuff with 50+ nm range is called SS-N-16 Stallion or "RPK-7 Veter". It uses 86R, 88R, 100RU missiles.
533mm "SS-N-15 Starfish, shipborne, 86R missile" is called "SS-N-16 RPK-6M Vodopad" and it use "83R" missile, not 86R. In short it look like this:
For subs - SS-N-16 RPK-6 Vodopad - missile 83R (with topredo), missile 84R (nuke)
For ships - SS-N-16 RPK-6M Vodopad - missile 83RN (with torpedo), missile 84RN (nuke)
Yeah, btw, in fact SS-N-15 Starfish is a FAMILY of missiles. So it has 533mm and 650mm missiles, for subs and ships. So it has several different missiles of various diameters, platforms and payloads.
And SS-N-16 Stallion is a next generation FAMILY of missiles. So it has 533mm and 650mm missiles, for subs and ships. And about 7 different missiles too.
Therefore, the difference between SS-N-15 Starfish and SS-N-16 Stallion is not in caliber/diameter of missiles! This is an old mistake since Harpoon and apparently Palmer's-Jane's books! Starfish and Stallion are two different generations of missiles! Starfish is a generation of the 1970s. Stallion is a generation of the 1980s. So they have different POHs and so on...
So whole soviet system of ASW-missile designation looks like this:
FRAS-1 RPK-1 Vikhr
Only one missile - 82R (nuke)
SS-N-15 Starfish RPK-2 Vyuga
There was ONLY ONE type of complex which was actually fielded on subs - 533mm TT SS-N-15 Starfish RPK-2 Vyuga-53! And it had only ONE type of missiles - 81R (nuke). Vyuga-65 for submarine 650mm TTs was tested, but not fielded!
SS-N-16 Stallion
533mm TT:
For subs - SS-N-16 RPK-6 Vodopad - missile 83R (with topredo), missile 84R (nuke)
For ships - SS-N-16 RPK-6M Vodopad - missile 83RN (with torpedo), missile 84RN (nuke)
650mm TT:
For subs - SS-N-16 RPK-7 Veter - missile 86R (with torpedo), missile 88R (nuke), missile 100RU (upgraded with in-flight correction or export?)
Have a nice day. [8D]

RE: Thread for DB3000 database problems, updates or issues
Will,Would it be possible to the DARPA TERN to the database? It can fit on any platform that is helicopter capable. The program states a minimum 600 NM combat radius for ISR and strike missions. It can carry 4 JAGM/Hellfire missiles and has the same radar and EO/IR Sensors as the MQ-8B/C Firescout.
A little late but now logged for evaluation.
