1/21/21, 3:12 PM - [Allied]: What is with the IJA! They're unstoppable!
1/21/21, 3:15 PM - [Axis]: Yea, but they are increasingly making the USA nervous. Another chit added against Japan - value of 1.
1/21/21, 3:15 PM - [Allied]: Influence of the isolations continue
1/21/21, 3:25 PM - [Axis]: <Media omitted>

Turn 8. Nov/Dec 1940. Axis #1. (Continued).

1/21/21, 3:46 PM - [Axis]: We got bitten by the saved oil bug. Japan has 24 saved oil and should only have 19. I can probably burn them during oil reorg without gaining a benefit. If not, we can edit them out later.
1/21/21, 3:58 PM - [Allied]: I can handle it by editing. Did Japan get their full production?
1/21/21, 3:59 PM - [Axis]: yes
1/21/21, 3:59 PM - [Allied]: If so, I'll go ahead (later) and edit away 5 oil from Japan, if that's ok?
1/21/21, 3:59 PM - [Axis]: that's fine
1/21/21, 3:59 PM - [Allied]: will do then
1/21/21, 9:28 PM - [Allied]: I will edit out 5 oil points and will reduced saved oil at: (1) Sapporo from 2 to 1, (2) Tokyo from 4 to 2 and (3) Osaka from 4 to 2.

Turn 8. Nov/Dec 1940. Axis #1. (Concluded).

1/21/21, 9:36 PM - [Allied]: Through the magic of editing, Japanese oil situation made right.
1/21/21, 3:33 PM - [Allied]: CW and France will do a naval so my impulse may take some time. Going to take a long break, which will include dinner. Will likely (hopefully) get to my impulse later this evening.
1/21/21, 3:33 PM - [Allied]: Part of the length of the naval is reevaluating my convoy lines and possibly moving them out of harms way if/where I can.
1/21/21, 3:33 PM - [Axis]: no problem, talk to u later
1/21/21, 3:34 PM - [Allied]: Well, I guess you can never move them completely out of harms way as long as the axis have subs, surface raiders and aircraft ... it's moving them to more safer routes if I can find them.
1/21/21, 3:35 PM - [Axis]: right
1/21/21, 3:36 PM - [Allied]: Especially critical now that France has fallen.
1/21/21, 9:37 PM - [Allied]: won't get to my impulse until tomorrow. see you then and goodnight. 🌙

Turn 8. Nov/Dec 1940. Allied #4.

1/22/21, 12:07 PM - [Allied]: afternoon. ☕
1/22/21, 12:08 PM - [Axis]: Howdy
1/22/21, 12:08 PM - [Allied]: ready for some gaming?
1/22/21, 12:08 PM - [Axis]: Always
1/22/21, 12:08 PM - [Allied]: 👍
1/22/21, 12:20 PM - [Allied]: Turn 8. Nov/Dec 1940. Allied #4. CW - combine, Free France - naval, China - land, USSR - combine, USA - combine.
1/22/21, 12:40 PM - [Allied]: Two Contested Sea Areas: (1) Faeores Gap & (2) East Med.
1/22/21, 12:40 PM - [Allied]: <Media omitted>
1/22/21, 12:41 PM - [Allied]: (1) Faeroes Gap: RN will not initiate, but you can (later) if you wish.
1/22/21, 12:46 PM - [Allied]: Back to the Faeores Gap. Do you wish to initiate?
1/22/21, 12:46 PM - [Axis]: no thx
1/22/21, 12:47 PM - [Allied]: copy.

Turn 8. Nov/Dec 1940. Allied #4. (Continued).

1/22/21, 12:42 PM - [Allied]: <Media omitted>
1/22/21, 12:46 PM - [Allied]: East Med. Interesting one here. RN & French are stronger, should initiate; but won't because they don't wish to risk a bad search split that puts their reinforcement of Athens at risk. One of my golden rules that I've learned the hard way not to break. If reinforcing, invading, etc. don't risk combat even far superior. In this case I'd say the allies are less than far superior, more likely slightly superior. Because of the weather and axis ships that are flipped, axis cannot initiate. So, no combat.

Turn 8. Nov/Dec 1940. Allied #4. (Concluded).

1/22/21, 12:47 PM - [Axis]: And I agree with your assessment
1/22/21, 12:48 PM - [Allied]: Thanks. It's a lesson that I've learned and relearned several times. The general golden rule I think is don't start something unless you can accept the worst outcome.
1/22/21, 12:49 PM - [Axis]: Exactly
1/22/21, 1:06 PM - [Allied]: <Media omitted>
1/22/21, 1:07 PM - [Allied]: Great Britain moves to protect their ally (Greece).
1/22/21, 1:07 PM - [Allied]: That ends my impulse. Now for the next weather roll.

1/22/21, 1:14 PM - [Axis]: roger

Turn 8. Nov/Dec 1940. Axis #7. (Continued).

1/22/21, 1:54 PM - [Axis]: round 2, allies have SPs
1/22/21, 1:55 PM - [Allied]: the nav has 1 a2s factor?
1/22/21, 1:56 PM - [Axis]: 2
1/22/21, 1:56 PM - [Axis]: 2 naval bombing factors
1/22/21, 1:56 PM - [Allied]: ok, use 4 SPs to avoid
1/22/21, 1:56 PM - [Axis]: air to air strength is 1
1/22/21, 1:56 PM - [Axis]: But that doesn't matter in this case
1/22/21, 1:57 PM - [Allied]: wasn't looking at the long shot of getting an abort in aa
1/22/21, 1:58 PM - [Allied]: but best I could get was lowest 1 out of 5, which is only a 3% chance of getting an abort and 0.1% chance of shooting it down.
1/22/21, 1:58 PM - [Axis]: <Media omitted>
1/22/21, 1:58 PM - [Allied]: Not worth the risk of getting a ship damaged.
1/22/21, 1:59 PM - [Axis]: I see

1/22/21, 2:01 PM - [Axis]: Miss
1/22/21, 2:01 PM - [Allied]: copy.
1/22/21, 2:01 PM - [Allied]: Well at least you pulled away any potential defensive ground support or intercept over Athens.
1/22/21, 2:07 PM - [Axis]: Right. I was gonna force your hand there

Turn 8. Nov/Dec 1940. Axis #7. (Concluded).

1/22/21, 2:15 PM - [Allied]: That was close ... change from snow to rain almost bit me ... would have been my fault though.
1/22/21, 2:16 PM - [Allied]: Should have planned for the possibility of supply changing from 3 to 2 and the danger that would have put Chaing in ...
1/22/21, 2:25 PM - [Axis]: That's easy to miss
1/22/21, 2:31 PM - [Allied]: Lot's of details like that is this game that one has to deal with or face the potential consequences. That why this game is best out there ...
1/22/21, 2:31 PM - [Allied]: Well except for setting convoy lines and productions ...
1/22/21, 2:41 PM - [Axis]: back to u
