Hi all,

On 4 November 2010, the "Deep Impact" (launched in 2005) extended mission (EPOXI) returned images from comet Hartley 2:

T's spam tale reminds me of our own story down-under.

Mrs DivePac registered our phone-number with the NZ telemarketers association no call-list. As a result we now get ten-times as many telemarketing calls as we did before registering. I suspect this is because the telemarketers now have our name and phone-number.

Life lesson #11984. [:@]

So I suppose now she has to pick up all the calls and tell all the nice young people to go away?

Uh-oh. This will surely bring the forum down.

But at least its better than those spambots selling Mike and Beebok sneakers.

Login word AZLICA... No... No, I don't think so...

Anyway, I don't think there should be a minimum age requirement for taking a driving test and buying and driving a motor vehicle. Instead, I think people should be required to have children first and be in a long-standing monogamous relationship.

If they can handle that sort of responsibility, they MIGHT be mature enough to get behind the wheel. The current model certainly doesn't work.

I read a Vietnam war conspiracy theory the other day that I wasn't previously familiar with.

According to this, the North Vietnamese convinced the Vietcong to undertake the Tet offensive in the full knowledge that it would most likely fail with huge VC losses. They did this to purge the VC ranks of South Vietnamese communists, who might decide one day that they didn't want to be controlled by the northerners, and replace the losses with loyal comrades fresh off the Ho Chi Minh Trail.

Sounds almost diabolical enough to be true...

Sounds like soneone cut you off in traffic again![:D]

That wouldn't work in this country. We encourage people to marry later than 15 (the age you get your licence). And what about those of us who don't have kids? I guess you'd never want me to drive.[:D]

That sounds VERY true to me. People who revolted against their goverment once, could do it again.[8|]

I have heard of this diabolical plot before and it makes sense to a degree.
