More top quality lyrics and a nice touchy feely toon gives us our next track.

I re-watched John Carpenter's "In the Mouth of Madness" - and I realised that the opening music (by Carpenter himself) is a "undercover cover" of Metallica's "Enter Sandman" [X(] (I wonder how he got away with the thing...) Anyway, this launched a Metallica Moment over here.

Edit:

"Yes darling, I served in the Navy for eight years. I was a cook..."
"Oh dad... so you were a God-damned cook?"

For the next toon I have chosen a track that is more about good old fashioned sentimentalism (is that even a word?)... The film it comes from is a true Disney classic.

Happy 355th Birthday to the Royal Marines. Formed on October 28, 1664 as the Duke of York and Albany’s Maritime Regiment of Foot, the name Marines first appeared in the records in 1672 and in 1802 they were titled the Royal Marines by King George III.

For the penultimate toon its time to get all sentimental and tradish - and that means something from one of the original, big hitting princesses.

Just genius. Sheer musical brilliance. If Beethoven were suddenly transported to today, I wonder what type of music he would write and how he would use the musical tools that would be available to him?
