It would never occur to me to build French infantry. The Allies have plenty of land moves; it is naval moves that are sometimes lacking (and air moves are always lacking), so building French TRS and AMPHs makes more sense. Late game in WiF for the Allies is all about action limits.ORIGINAL: rkr1958
Thanks! I was planning on sending the French BP's when the US joined. Though I was planning on building French infantry to be used with CW and US transports and amph's. But, I can see the advantage of the reverse too.ORIGINAL: Courtenay
One thing you might consider is giving build points to Free France. A French TRS or, even better, an AMPH is much more useful than a CW or US one, as it is less likely to be affected by action limits. For the same reason, French LNDs are also good, as the Allies never have enough air actions. Of course, it the Allies don't plan on building TRSs, AMPHs, or LNDs, then there is no reason to give points to the French. Also, of course, one would need the CPs to be able to send the French points.

STAVKA dodged a major bullet when Luftwaffe recon did not detect no less than 2 Red Army Front HQs in the Minsk region, well within bomber range.
Maybe OKW had all the recon photos developed in that small bit of northern Poland that was supposed to be added to East Prussia, rather than given to the Russians, and no one ever remembered to connect it to the Reich's postal system, or something.

Also, the French land units are generally not as good as the CW and US units, so one does not want to lead off with them. Finally, the last thing the Allies need is a third country provoking Allied Combat Friction.
As best as I can remember only 1 of the 4 Soviet HQ's, an HQ-I, was within normal range of axis bombers. I passed, because I wanted 2 air moves to rebase two F/B's on the front and 2 to ground strike the two target Germany did. Though, maybe that was a mistake?ORIGINAL: brian brian

Yes, I noticed that too ... sloppy on my part ... uh, I mean on the part of the Germans. To counter that though, the Soviets were also a bit sloppy too. Seems like both the Germans and Soviets are being controlled by an equally (un)skilled player. [:D]ORIGINAL: brian brian
