Playing the Broken Shield 300 mission.

Spotted that one of the Israeli drones seems massively frugal - fuel quantity sounds about right. But it's usage rate must be too low - it's suggesting a loiter time of >2 days 16 hours

Do you have any plan to add amphibious assault ship(LHD) "TCG Anadolu(L-400)" to DB3K for Turkish Navy ?

Can you provide any documentation/specifications for this unit?

I have seen the stats for ASM-3 are already included in the database. Unfortunately I cannot see any data in the platform section. According to various sources up to 2 and maybe 4 can be carried by Japan F-2 fighter.

The same plane could carry 4 ASM-2, the previous model

Hello,

I would like to report three errors:

* aircraft_984 -> wrong airplane on the picture
* aircraft_3155 -> wrong airplane on the picture
* weapon_466 -> description of Hawk SAM, not the GBU-24

From data base archive downloaded on matrix site (the link somewhere on the forum).

I cannot post images because of forum restriction to new members...[8|]

It is a bit counterintuitive but the images and text are in separate thread as per the link above.

Francesco,

I just checked DB3K_482 and the ASM-3 is provided as a loadout for the F-2A FS-X (2018) and the F-2B FS-X (2018). Standard loadout = 2, heavy = 4.

So, unless I'm missing something it seems to be there.

Follow Up.
Some strangeness here. In the DB3K_482 it shows that the ASM-3 is a loadout for the F-2A and the F-2B. In the test scenario I use (based on CMANO) it also shows up as a loadout for both aircraft.

However, I decided to check the situation using CMO. There, the ASM-3 only shows up as a possible loadout for the 2018 F-2B using the same DB3K_482 database. Going to have to dig into this.

Hi I'am sure this has already been requested but i thought i might as well post it, the Belgium f-16 currently dates back to 2010 and is quite out of date by now after receiving AIM-9X Blk-2 and GBU-39 SDB in 2017. Also it started receiving JHMCS in 2008 but it is not present on the current versions of the database.

p.s sorry for not posting any links because i don't post that much and can't add any links yet.

I've notice that virtually all aircraft use "Aviation Fuel". That's not quite correct- case in point the SR-71 which used JP-7, which is not really compatible with other aircraft. That is why it needed its own tanker versions, the KC-135Q and T. However, in the game, it appears that the SR-71 can refuel from ANY boom tanker and the KC-135Q can service ANY boom-capable aircraft.

I think it would be cool to add the restriction, either as fuel type or have a new refuelling type property like "JP-7 Boom Refuelling".

First of all I would to thank you for some recent additions of new Iranian SAMs [:)]

I've noticed that some data need a little correction though.

For example Sayaad-2 missile used by Talash, has now 120 nm range. The exact range is unknown, but it is classified by Iran as a medium range SAM. Most of analyses say that the Sayyad-2 has something like 75 - 80 km range.
In 2013, Iran unveiled the Sayyad-2 (“Hunter”), which is visibly evolved from the SM-1, and very fast with a maximum speed of Mach 4.5 and range of forty-six miles. It can be fired from the truck-mobile Talaash (“Endeavour”) and Khordad-15 air defense systems, which can engage six targets simultaneously.
Quote is from:
https://nationalinterest.org/blog/buzz/ ... -35-111376

Here are specs of Khordad-15 system using Sayyad-2 missile, it says engagement range is 75km:
https://www.globalsecurity.org/military ... -specs.htm

If there is a need Talash can use also newer Sayyad-3 missiles with longer range reaching 120-150km. I believe this variant is called Talash-3. It might be added separately from the current 2015 variant.

https://en.irna.ir/news/83134202/Range- ... o-increase
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sayyad-2#Sayyad-3

The last thigns are radars. Now Talash uses old radars from S-75. It seems that in real life it uses Kavosh and Ofogh fire control radar. I know there is no data for them, but I was able to find that we already have Kavosh in the game. It's a PAR radar from Iranian I-Hawk "Mersad upgrade". So if it is possible, please change Talash to use it, as it would make much more sense. Also according to some sources new variant of Talash can use Hafez 3D and Meraj-4 radars. I guess we already have Hafez, same as before, with Iranian I-Hawk "Mersad upgrade", so might be added to Talsh as well.

If you would like to add Meraj-4 radar in the future, in this article you can find very detailed specification (which is quite unusual to get for Iranian radars):

Other sources for Talash radars usage:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talaash_a ... nse_system

And explanation that Kavosh is also called PAR radar
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mersad#Radars

EDIT:

Also Talash should not use launch rails but TELs with 2-4 missiles per each.

New AGM-158D ER (JASSM XR, 1000 nm range)
#USAF's FY21 BR refers to both AGM-158B(Extended Range) & AGM-158D(Extreme Range) as JASSM-ER. AGM-158D was called JASSM-D & before that JASSM-XR (for "extreme range"). For AGM-158D, the "ER" therefore likey = "extreme range," but, as with AGM-158B, could also = "extended range."

The #USAF's FY21 RDT&E data is now available. It seems that, like the AGM-158B, the AGM-158D will also be called JASSM "Extended Range."

Also, the AGM-158D will recieve a new data-link for post-launch re-targeting. This is a very important new capability.

https://twitter.com/GuyPlopsky/status/1 ... 5008468992

In September 2018, Lockheed Martin was awarded a contract to develop an "Extreme Range" variant of the AGM-158. The weapon would weigh about 5,000 lb (2,300 kg) and deliver a 2,000 lb (910 kg) warhead out to a range of 1,000 nmi (1,900 km; 1,200 mi); it is planned to be ready by 2023.

More info about JASSM XR:

USAF to Start Buying ‘Extreme Range’ JASSMs in 2021

https://www.airforcemag.com/usaf-to-sta ... s-in-2021/

The upgrade includes a missile control unit, changes to the wings, a different paint coating, an Electronic Safe and Arm Fuze, a secure GPS receiver, and program protection requirements, according to the Air Force. All of these upgrades make the unit cost of the AGM-158D approximately $1.5 million, up from the $1.04 million cost of an AGM-158B JASSM-ER. The B variant has a range of about 500 nautical miles, while the D reportedly extends up to 1,000 nautical miles.

Lockheed will deliver five per month starting in January 2024, and the service plans to integrate the missiles with the B-1B.

And the following Ship for Canada - Thanks

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MV_Asteri ... vy_service

Thanks for adding the type 26 to Canada! If you have some spare time ( Lol !). Would you be able to change a few of the systems to make it a bit closer to the proposed Canadian ship ?

Radar - AN/SPY-7
Combat Management - CMS 330 (cs) ( Can use from Halifax class)
Early warning - CANEWS (Halifax)
Sonar -UK Type 2150 towed ("This sonar is the third-generation hull-mount sonar for Ultra, and draws on the capabilities developed for the Royal Navy Type 45 and the Royal Australian Navy Hobart-class destroyers, and the S2170 UK Surface Ship Torpedo Defence (SSTD) system.")
EW suite - MDA (or use from Halifax)
VLS - 32 cell MK 41- quad pack latest ESSM mk 25 launcher (Similar used on Halifax class) (Doubt Canada will buy Tomahawk)
3 cell CAMM - 24 missiles as per later post by 14yellow14
2 quad NSM missiles as per later post by 14yellow14
Decoys - Mass Irvin - GQDLF-38, floating decoy
Torpedoes - MK 54
Beartrap - helicopter securing system ( Same as Halifax class)
6 boats / UUV - RHIIB or other.
Ability to carry some troops. Crew=118, accommodation=157 so maybe 4 squads ish.

Everything else could stay the same as currently there.

About the Canadian Type 26, This is the most recent model and there are some changes:

Image

Some (more) thoughts about the #Canadian Type 26 class frigate: (1/2)
1. Helicopter approach radar is missing in the new model?
2. Two less DLs.
3. Two less EO-sensors. SATCOM instead.
4. NSM instead of Harpoon.
5. Two ExLS 3-cell launchers for 24 CAMM.
6. SeaRAM CIWS missing.
7. non-rotated IFF.
8. R-ESM/C-ESM
9. Unknown ECM (jammers)

Could you add another Type-26 frigate for Australia?

It is interesting to compare Canadian Surface Combatant [Type-26].

Here is Australian Hunter-Class frigate [Type 26 for Australia]

https://www.naval-technology.com/projec ... -frigates/
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hunter-class_frigate

Here's fact from Department of Defence (Australia).

https://www.defence.gov.au/casg/Multime ... 9-9243.pdf

This is original UK Type-26 VLS Cells.
the ships also have 24 Mk.41 Vertical Launch System (VLS) cells for other weapons

It can apply additional available eight VLS-cells more than UK Type-26 class.(Above Infographic shows 32 VLS Cells)
Other topside changes to the basic design will include removal of the forward Sea Ceptor silo and an increase in the number of Mk.41 VLS cells from 24 to 32, which will accommodate the Raytheon RIM-162 Evolved Sea Sparrow Missile (ESSM) and Standard Missile 2 (SM-2) weapons currently used by the RAN and its US ally.
