One cap trap pays off...Wilcats down 13 bombers, while the Tony Id tries to tangle with the Deathstar pilots. Mistake. :)

Moving forward. Fuel situation is pretty strong in Saigon....but it doesn't ship across to Quinhon and up the coast rail line....pretty well modeled I think.

Trapped all Burma and Indochina troops now...

Need to clean up Cam Ranh Bay, clear the coast rail line, before I really move hard on the Chinese Coast....it is a question of supply and logistics.

Knocked off 5 Light Industry at Wuchang...have recon on Shanghai :D

Have plans for all the shipping at Hong Kong...

Saigon ship yard fully repaired and busy. Can't get large ships up to it (size 10  ) ...but it shouldn't be too long to take Singers and Ayuthia (next to Bangkok which will then fall very quickly).

You can send ships up to 15K up an estuary, so cruisers can use that SY at Saigon. Maybe some large transports and oilers in that category too. If you get HK or Pescadores you have another great area with SY support.

Once you clear Cam Ranh Bay I'd expect the fuel to flow north.

Does Bangkok have a yard? You'll be quite sorted with Singapore and HK (50 each?) in terms of yards, but every little bit helps.

What level of troops are you seeing in Canton and HK?

Pescadores has a small yard...11, perfect for repairing damaged destroyers.

Take Kluong today...have three divisions in our spearhead, and another two more racing down the rails...plus more on the way.

Those Liberators bombing Takao did very well - 3 aircraft get 2 LI hits at night with severe storms! Must have been using H2S or Oboe!

Assigning just one bomber squadron to each base we netted, (Shanghai was the only base with current DL on it):

Wuchang 8 LI
Takao 5 LI
Shanghai 3 repair shipyard (hit manpower)
Taihoku: No listed damage, but fires started (hit manpower)

By the end of October we should have Singers, Bangkok, and Cam Ranh Bay and be close on Miri. Then I guess we will be looking at invading Formosa and pushing heavily down the Chinese Coastline sieging Hong Kong and Canton and moving for Ningpo one of our goals.

A little skirmish pretty far off Cam Ranh Bay....but the ships disappeared and we couldn't fly in any naval strikes...by throwing such weak ships against him, I am hoping to spark a larger IJN raid into our shipping lines in the South China Sea. ;)

Nashville and company raid off Singers, which still has a large concentration of Japanese shipping. Kind of trash xaks...but the E is a solid ship and will help our subs in the area...

Messing around to see what manpower bombing does....good DL and several waves of bombers manage to get the fires up to 9400. Those are absolutely rookie numbers...and the recon reports fires down to 1200 and no damage done. However, there seems to be often at least a day lag in getting the reports from a strategic strike back....there are three task forces with quite a few tankers present in the harbor.

19k IJA troopers stranded outside Cam Ranh Bay. Another 10K in the IJA 4th Division on the rail line west of Cam Ranh Bay. Minesweepers will arrive at Cam Ranh Bay and there is only 1 point of port damage left...runway is size 4, port size 7. So Once I destroy the 4th Division, which is out of supply and being whittled down each day, will be able to rail all the way to Vinh.

The 232 casualties and 18 squads works out to 12.9 troops per squad. That indicates they are not in really bad shape yet. I monitor that metric to decide when a shock attack is likely to destroy the whole lot while causing few casualties on my side. I use 6-7 men per squad as my decision point.
