The CW attack the Italians in Bardia at 3:1 (inc shore bombardment). There seems to be a +1 but I don't know why. Maybe its the armour - but then the Italians have the choice????

Image
Looks like the +1 is a bug. Was it only cosmetic, or was the +1 included in the assault combat result?

Either way. Could you make a bug report, or post me the land combat declaration autosave and I will take a look at the save and possibly make the report?

Even after picking assault the +1 showed. However the throw of 5 was not changed to a 6 (1/1) rather than (0/1) so yes it was cosmetic.

No effect is the net result for the port strike on the French TRS. (Allies 3, Axis 1, and the TRS defends the A with a roll of 10)

I am going to continue with the assumption that USSR would spend their surprise points on reducing damage done (on AA had no effect). (Allies 1, Axis 2)

In Vladivostok the TRS is aborted. If I selected wrongly then I will go back and change the result. (USSR could put the second A on the CA instead)

Impulse #7 (Axis)

Rail Move:
Germany:
PARA (Brussels) -> Reggio

Land Moves:

Japan:
MEC 74,138->74,137(W)
INF 75,138->74,138(NW)

Italien:
5-3 MIL 74, 28-> 73, 27
HQA 74, 29 -> 74, 28
2-3 TERR 73, 32 -> 74, 30
Supply 108, 62 -> 106, 60
4-3 MIL + 5-4 MOT + 2-2 A-T 63, 33 -> 63, 32
5-4 MTN 62, 33 -> 62, 32
4-5 MOT 61 ,33 -> 60, 32
MECH Genoa -> Turin

Germany:
INF (Bone) -> 74, 28
A couple of Hungarians move to Budapest.
The German panzer now focus on the French NW of Paris.

Disembark:

Italy:
1-3 INF Div West med -> 73, 27

Japan:
MTN Haichow

Land Combat:

Italy, under command of Graziani, attacks Algiers with support from the German LXII Korps. With 12 points of shore bombardment the odds are 30:6, or 5:1.

Germany makes three attacks.
1) vs 54,29, or NW Paris. Current odds are 55:16 or 3,44:1. +4 is expected on the die roll (+3 from panzers). Rundstedt provide offensive HQ support. One 3 strength AA unit is included in the attack so it can fire on any incoming defensive ground support.
2) vs hex 57,31. Current odds are 22:3. Or automatic since Germany has a armoured division in the attack and can call blitz.
3) vs Metz. Odds are 41:4 or automatic. No French support can reach the hex.

Axis fly no offensive ground support.

Will France fly defensive ground support to attack 1, or 2, in France? Germany has one FTR2, and one FTR3, that can reach both hexes. The German AA can fire if the bomber supports attack number one.

Final odds.

Edit: The HQ support for the first attack (on hex 54,29) is a success (1 rolled).

All the French defenders are shattered, and the German panzers will use the breakthrough to cross the Seine. To close to failure for comfort.[:)]

Edit: The break wouldn't have occurred if the HQ support had been a failure. [:)]

Two French cruisers are overrun in Algiers, and they flee the port. Will they abort together? And what port will they seek for safe harbour?

Note that they can be intercepted by the Italian fleet waiting for the to leave port.
