Little is happening. I have secured all the islands in the Gilberts and am in the process of building them up to support
my Attack Bombers so I can both defend and attack the bases in the Marshall Islands. I have secured a couple of bases in
the Marshall Islands, both 0,0 dot bases.
In PNG I took Madang and am building it slowly.
I have found little to no opposition, I think Howland is the only island in the area that had any troops at all, and that was only
a fragment of a Naval Guard unit.
Wewak flipped a couple of turns ago without me even landing there.
I just landed on Kusaie Island and it is unoccupied.

Not much, a quick FT TF took a Marine raider Bn to Ailinglaplap and took it. No opposition.
Kusaie Island swapped before combat. Again, no opposition.
One of the more important things I am working on right now is to get loads and loads of supply and fuel
to my forward main bases, mostly Sydney, Milne Bay, Rabaul, Tulagi, and now Tabiteuea. Fuel is always short
in 1943, not as critical as 1942, but still not enough tankers to ship what I need forward. My multiple
TFs burn a lot of fuel.

Not much.
Taongi, a northern island in the Marshall Islands is taken, a good base to watch over the Central and Northern Pacific.

No action today.
I am now receiving 67 SBD-5s per month and soon that will increase by 51, so SBD bombers will not be a problem
I am also getting 45 SB2C-1c DBs per month
The Essex class CV Chippewa arrived yesterday and is in the process of getting her air units in order.

A USMC Raider Bn lands via FTTF at Eniwetok and takes the base
The 2nd USMC Division starts landing at Ponape. It is covered by CVEs and the fighters shoot down 25 L3Y2 Tina transports.
I have no idea if he was moving troops in or out, or maybe supply? No idea.
The Marines landed with little disruption or fatigue, so they will do a DA tomorrow. There was no bombardment attack by the Japanese.

Interesting turn.
Looks like Xargun put some Vals at Roi-Namur
On the ground the 2nd Marine Division took Ponape without any problem. I have a few damaged LSTs and such from the fortress guns
but it looks like everyone will be fine.

All enemy units on Ponape have been eliminated
SS Truant was hit hard in the Strait of Malacca, it will be dicey to get her back to safety.
That's all folks

No action to report.
I did notice that he now has the Ki-84r Frank available to him. I do not get P-47D25s until until September 1943. So he will have
a distinct advantage in the air for a few months. I do have a number of F4U-1A Corsairs arriving, but the first few months are
devoted to replacing my F6F-3 Hellcats on CVs.
Urumchi is lost to a few tank units.

Not much, on the road South of Kiuchuan
Those Independent Brigades only have rifle squads and are not able to stand up to small tank units. We will see in a few weeks
if a Corps with AT guns and 105 Howitzers can not inflict some pain.

S-36 took a pounding at Ulithi by a pair of E boats. Interesting that the CR says the sub slipped beneath the waves,
but it is still in action and limping back to Manus. She is heavily damaged, but Allied Damage Control can be amazing.
Sys damage at 34, float damage at 88(33), and engine damage at 7. If she can stay afloat she will make it back to port.
At least the sys damage is low, might be the difference.
SS Truant is still limping back to port, badly damaged, but she is repairing some float damage as she goes.
Xargun tried sweeping my new base at Ponape, and it did not go well for him. 26 A6M5c Zeros were shot down
for the lost of 6 F4U-1 Corsairs( 5 air-2-air and 1 ops write off ) and 2 pilots were KIA

No action today
S-36 picked up a single engine damage, no new float or sys. That is good.
SS Truant has reduced its float damage to 74 and is still creeping along towards port.
